Love all these recipes..thanks for sharing. Ok have question, I do not eat oatmeal. Recipes that call for oatmeal, instant or the kind you cook? I know there is a box of instant in house, yet has the dried fruit in it, some mix and match brand, my tot doesn't do oatmeal. Which do you use? Will be nice to give the little ladies a nice treat :)

I LOVE these treats! I have a few who aren't so into the greek yogurt idea, but turning it more into parfait will make them crazy! They love berries and granola! Thank you so much, I'll be preparing that as temps get warmer. Poor babes have been enjoying oatmeal, raisins, and some of the leftover frozen blueberries I have left from summer. That and popcorn, they get so excited for just plain old air popped popcorn.

I have used both steal oats and instant. They love it all, though I would think the less milled steal cut oats are probably better for them.

So sorry for the late reply :(
The recipes that call for oatmeal can be both instant or the kind you cook. I myself use the kind you cook :D.
I never realized until now how many recipes call for oatmeal :O I'll have to attempt to be more creative with my recipes!

you're probably wondering about the name... I haven't been spending much time with 'the Buffintons' as I call them, and today I was going to put them into the chicken tractor, only to discover that the shelter attached to it had been given to my sister's ducks. So I present to you: THE MAKE IT UP TO THE BUFFINGTONS BECAUSE THE DUCKS TOOK THEIR CHICKEN TRACTOR.

Ingredients: Mealworms, uncooked oatmeal (I need to think up of a treat that doesn't include oatmeal :)), broccoli, hot water, and raisins.

Instructions: chop the broccoli into fine pieces, mix about a cup of oatmeal with it. Add a handful of raisins. Put some hot water into the broccoli oatmeal raisin mixture, stir. You can drain if need be. Next you put about three fourths cups of mealworms into the mixture. Stir. Serve.

Even ducks enjoy it :)

awesome ideas I was just sitting here thinking how awesome it would be to be able to treat the crew to something special. I also heard a warm bowl of oatmeal is great for cool morning, today here in AL we are expecting over 100 so oatmeal will have to wait
