Simply a Hip Hillbilly Acre update

1 cream legbar, 1 Bielefelder, 1 Blue laced red Wyandotte, a couple Easter & Olive Eggers, 2 Australorps, 2 Barred Rocks, & a Lavender Orpington.

I have the sweetest lavender Orpington from them. She’s secretly my favorite. She is smaller than the other chicks though. None of mine are super friendly, but she tolerates being picked up the best for what it’s worth. They’re just a week old.

Do you know what they mix to get their Easter eggers?

I don't, not specifically.

I have one OE who looks like a Maran, black and copper. The rest are blue and copper. I believe one has beard and cheeks as well.

You are going to be very happy with their olive eggers. I believe it is a cross with a Maran and a blue ameracauna. We got 5 last year from them and 4 have really nice olive eggs, with another being just a standard EE green.

They looked like such a good variety online!

Have they developed yet? Mt Healthy has been horrendous at sexing chicks this year.

Mentally begin preparation for some cockerels.

Last year we purchased a cream legbar (elsewhere); but I never found out which one she is amongst our flock. Oh, and a green queen; don't know her either.
