I have a gal who last laid the 7th of this month. She goes on the nest every day and carries on with her song for about 2 hours but no results? He sister Ethel lays every day and Mosie seems to really want to it just doesn't happen. What might be going on with her. After her effort she leaves the nest and joins up with the Rooster and her sister and spends the rest of the day ranging.

Just another quick question. I brought home two Columbian Cochin Hens 2 weeks ago. Real sweethearts. I brought home their Rooster with them but it was nothing but a battle with my Dutch Banty so I gave the new rooster to my friend who needed a rooster anyway (not sure why but it helped out) Well the two new gals are doing just great and they hang together ranging all day and each lay an egg every morning. The problem is the Dutch Banty rooster and his two gals, both Coochins (one I mentioned above) really are not being nice to the two new gals AT ALL. Butch seemed to want to rooster them and they both squat right down for him but now its more like the rooster holds them and the other two run over and try to beat them up. As long as the two new girls keep there distance all is ok. Come time to roost at night the "gang of 3" go right in as usual and the 2 new girls roost on top of the coop and I put them in the coop about an hour latter. I am building a new coop for the new girls in the same run (totally enclosed) though at night there is no brawling in the coop when they come out in the morning into the run the 2 new gals go up on a roost until the "gang of 3" start to range then they come down lay their eggs and go range. They have about an acre plus of plenty of good range.
Will the "gang of 3" ever lighten up on the new girls? The new birds are about a year old, Ethel and Mosie are almost a year old. Ive had to rescue Speckels and Chilli a couple of times. Sure wish they would get along a little better.
