I won't go near a TSC during chick days. I have a gift card too guess it will be May before I can use it.

When I first started with Ducks in 2004 Muscovy and you sure don't have to worry about hatching ducklings they are more than willing an able to help. But I found BYC in 009 and saw more breeds of ducks that I had never seen in my life. But after being on here and reading stories like yours about losing in the mail, I swore I'd never order. Then in 2017 I fell for the Salmon Faverolle chicken and only way I could get any was Hatchery Thankfully they came with out any problems and have been healthy. Then in 2019 I wanted to add some Fawn an white Runners to my flock Ordered 3 they sent 4 They were mailed out one day here the next so we figured they came air. Oh my gosh they looked so healthy from Thursday till the weekend when I lost 2, and would have lost the other 2 if I hadn't started feeding them scrambled egg. I have no doubt that and prayer saved them. I contacted the hatchery and they said it was shipping stress. I will never use mail to get any poultry again.

Love her coloring! My Runners have been, shall we say, very active recently...hoping to hatch some black x fawn & white (I have reason to believe it's possible, lol).
well my chocolate x fawn/whites made the blue and dark one in the picture.

@Runner duck mom also has hatched 2 of my grandducks from those parents and they are so beautiful, more beautiful than my two I think. One is an all chocolate girl and one is a gorgeous blue drake. I know who the dad it but no clue which of the 6 f/w is the mom. I do have one penciled F/w in that group. Life is like a box of chocolates!

Love those babies and all grown up already. Just as pretty as their parents :)
I need to get some better pics, either they are busy running around or trying to eat the phone while I'm trying to get a shot, lol

We have had ducklings shipped twice with no problems but after hatching these babies at home we will never order through the mail again. They work so hard to hatch and are so tiny I can't even imagine throwing them in a box and putting them in the mail.
It is nice to be able to order sexed ducklings too but they don't get that right 100% of the time either :hmm
@SkyeT I'm so sorry for the loss of your ducklings. Storm is just adorable! She will love her mirror and no doubt be quite attached to you and your husband :)

I hope that this is what Storm will end up looking like! Your babies are so gorgeous!

Storm is strong! She survived a long, hard trip and is now a bundle of energy.

Okay, so I posted about the frequency of Storm's eating, now I have another question.

Do duckling talk the WHOLE time they are eating? She does. It's like she has to let the whole house know she is devouring her food.

And I swear she doubled in size overnight!
I had 2 at a time and yes they talk the whole time and never stop!:welcome
