Sis Deserves A Beatdown

PM.. was your DD unsupervised with your druggie sister for this visit?
Did they go to your mothers house instead?(although you said that your sis dropped her off..)
Also.. as far as CPS placing your sisters kids with her "drug dealer"... i'm SURE that CPS does not KNOW that they are drug dealers...
Come on now...

I'm sorry.. maybe i'm confused?? ( i usually am..

..) ... please tell me that i am...You wouldnt let your child go with a woman that lost her kids to CPS, would you? It must have been a supervised visit with someone else who is responsible?
Please tell me that so i feel better...

Then i'll stop fretting..

CPS trusts her, when she's CLEAN, to have visitation with her kiddos... fail the test, no visitation. Thus her having KK means she's been clean... I got that much from those people ... so yes, I allowed her to visit for a couple hours for KK's sake... they haven't seen each other since Mid August, and I know that's hurting KK on top of the hurt she's already in. But, I will confess I fretted the whole time... don't think I'll be able to handle her going over there again. Tried, I did, and true nothing bad happened, but my stomach lining just can't handle it. You can stop fretting, she's home safe and sound, with a smile... but yeah... I was kicking myself the whole time for allowing it. Just figured I'd make myself out as a spiteful/hateful paranoid nut if I admitted it.

And no, CPS doesn't know that those people are her hookup... I can't really say dealer... she just said that they're the ones that "slipped" her whatever got her in trouble... yeah right... so they might not be dealing, but they are a source nonetheless. And they've got 12 people crammed into a 2... maybe 3 bedroom house. KK is stuck sleeping on the floor, no idea where Max (a year old next month) is sleeping. CPS should at least be aware of that because a home inspection is a requirement... that I KNOW from previous experience identical to this with them. If they had any problem with it she would have been moved. But you know, to be honest Sis hasn't talked to me in... what like six weeks, so maybe they have been moved?? Naw, I think mom would have said something...

Eh... my stomach is still in a knot... between Janie's injury and Sis's crap... think I'll make a cuppa.

And Red... next time you hear me mentioning my Sis PLEASE give me a kick in the pants if I'm even considering allowing her to go over... I'ma end up on BP meds if I keep this up.

No..i totally DO understand you..i GET it.. I have a family member that has drug issues and that dosent change my love for them at all. So i get it.
Its your sister and your DD IS close to KK... so you dont want the kids to be seperated and suffer cause of your sisters mistakes.
I get it..
But.. I'm just saying.. maybe have KK come to YOUR house for visits?? That way you can control what your DD sees and is exposed too...
Know what i mean? Just to be safe...

As for KK sleeping on the floor.. yes.. CPS SHOULD have done a house inspection.... idiots.

But then again.. they'd just lie and say.."yes.. this is where KK will sleep..." and show them (CPS) a clean bed in a room...
So... its HARD for CPS to know whats REALLY is going on there...
Frustrating all around!

Yeah, I hear you. But when WE had an inspection it wasn't just an 'inspection'... I asked the lady who made the appointment what we should look out for and she said plug covers and cleansers put up and knives put up... safety stuff. But when the guy got here it was a two hour long interrogation... me and DH... after that I actually had to ask him "Don't you need to inspect where KK is sleeping or something??" and so he walked down the hall and took a quick peek into the girls' room and then right back down the hall and out the door. Private contractor inspector person... not an actual CPS agent... donno why they contract that out, since it's the perfect opportunity for an agent to get a good gauge of the people, place AND see the child IN the environment... but whatever.

Sis hasn't had one nice thing to say about anyone in her BF's family except for ONE... and that's not who has the kiddos... the rest are all druggies, wife beaters, thieves, forgers... the list goes on... but that's all her word... for all I know they're nice people... I met his sister... WEIRD one... I mean WEIRD... you know I'm a little off myself so when I say WEIRD (yes all caps!) you know there's something very odd going on. I'm assuming based on Sis's words... and we all know how honest those have been, so I'm hoping I'm totally wrong and it's a nice clean safe place...

Sounds like you know just what I'm talking about though... LOVE Sis... but I just do NOT like her at all. But I love and like KK very much... *sigh* yeah, definitely going to be having visits here instead of there from here on... I really don't want the stress caused heartburn, muscle problems and migraines of my 12-18 years coming back.

Ok, slightly off topic; doesn't help with lice, but for frizzy hair, I use Fekkai Glossing Cream. I have long, frizzy hair, and this works better than anything I've tried. And if you get it off Ebay, it's cheaper (and you don't use much)

My daughter kept getting lice in kindergarden. I tried the usual, didn't work. What worked for me was temporary hair dye. The kind that washes out after like 7-10 shampoos. I just picked the same color as her hair. It only took one treatment and she has never had another problem. I also did her friend who was the only passing it around. I don't like to use harsh chemicals on my children, but I was going insane with those little bugs. Good lick with your family.

Ok this is gonna sound bad but when my kids were young and would get lice from school cousins(yes I have a sister just like yours) I would wash their hair is flea shampoo and after put mayo with a plastic bag over night. Do the mayo once a week for 2-3 weeks. The mayo kills the adult bugs smothers them then once a week to kill any that may hatch. If a note came home from school out came the mayo even if I didnt see anything. I had 3 girls 2 boys. The boys were easy buzz cut but the girls had long hair. To this day one of my daughters age 24 cant stand the smell of mayo
