Site update issues

I don't do email notifications, don't need them as I'm here every day anyway, so don't know about that.

Got the 'no access, update in progress' page when I visited yesterday afternoon.

After update, saw the subscription activity list isn't being sorted when new updates appear.....which is really annoying because it's my main navigation technique.

And Yes, very slow loading...gave up several times today because of it.

Glad I came here and learned it was the update causing the problems and not my computer screwing up.

All my thread subscriptions are there, I have not changed anything in my account settings, and I am still getting the on-site notifiers. I'm just not getting the messages on my email account of anyone who posted after me on a thread, nor the ovation notices. I checked the span box and they are not there either. Here is an example: bhutta has posted 4 times on the thread "Brown Egg Laying Chickens" started by kenzier09 in "General breed discussions and FAQ" since I posted on it yesterday, but I have not received notification of a single one of bhutta's 4 posts on my email account. I am receiving other email, so the problem is not with my email account. Also, I have not seen a number of the members who usually post on the New Member Introductions in the evenings posting on them, and I still don't have any post notifications on my email account this morning. Hopefully the tech staff can get the problems corrected soon.

I've also stopped getting email notifiers, along with some other minor problems. Please post here if you're having problems with as much detail as possible. I've given @Nifty-Chicken a head's up, so he can let the techie staff know.

As I am pretty active on the forum I generally will go through around 40-50 email notifies daily....I just got home from work and my email inbox is totally void of any notifies from BYC. Can an administrator go in to my profile/preferences and see if I have either checked/unchecked the correct area so that I receive ALL posts to ALL the threads I am subscribed to? I'd sure appreciate it!

You should be able to do that yourself


.....or you can just click on 'subscriptions' in the upper right hand corner of any page, that's about the easiest way to follow any replies to your subscriptions.

UPDATE! All of a sudden my email inbox is receiving email notifies now...WHEEE!!

A big thank you to the tech staff for locating the glitch and fixing it....!!

...and now the subscription sorting seems broken again, after working for a few minutes. Also, very sluggish again.

Oh, I am so glad this is not just me!! It is taking over a minute to turn pages, yesterday I had no formatting in reply boxes and posting anything was/is just a bear with a hangnail!!

Mine is sorting again .

Loading quicker also . Sometimes takes awhile but has not timed out .
