Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I guess I celebrated national chocolate candy day by having a cup of coffee and eating some home made english toffee. It has chocolate on top of it....

hey! welcome!
No, dreaming about gardens is a very good thing. It is a happy thought. Go with it!

I live in Florida so I am busy with my winter garden already. I mulch heavy and cover often.
Enjoy the tread!

Oh Florida.. how good that sounds right now! Our winters are wayyy too long, too long to go without seeing any green or soil! Except for the last few days though, nothing but rain and soggy 40 degree weather, yuck.

And Happy National Chocolate Candy day! Sounds like a perfect combo - Chocolate and Coffee. Mmm

Coffeeeeeeee... and chocolateeeeeee...

Does it get any better? We added weatherstripping to the three windows and door of the coop. It is a cool 17 degrees today with light snow. The six vents under the eaves of the coop are open but not exposed to wind. @Alaskan and chickisoup - do you ever shut the vents or cover them in the cold?

The only vent I close is the one that is right at perch level. All others stay wide open. Water stays outside.

I have doors on my vents. Since my coop is not overcrowded and kept very dry, if it gets really cold I close my vents at night (like tonight since it's supposed to get well below zero) and open them back up during the daytime, especially when the sun is shining in the big south facing window.
My vents are all just below the roof line.
