NJ - had light snow this AM - it's turning to a light drizzle now. Spoke to a friend in Stroudsburg, Pa this morning and he had 3" of snow on the ground and snow coming down heavy. I'll take the rain. We actually need it.

We had a nice all day rain here. It has been a little dry after a wet summer. It is supposed to be really cold in the morning, 25 degrees.

Sooo cold here. Chickens water froze. Got home and they were all ok. So blessed! One area had a big pile of feathers. Wondering what that is about very soft short feathers

Dunno....but stuff like that always makes me panic .......

I lost my second favorite duck Monday...not sure what to.

I have to go outside and roll about in the snow to wrestle the tire chains onto the double back tires of the plow truck.

Have to drive it into town first and pay multi hundred bucks to fill it up.


The sky is full of snow clouds.

At least I have lots of hot coffee.

Hi Alaskan

Been curious how it was going to the west. We have been VERY crispy here of late. Single digits actual, double digit below zero windchills but no snow. Had to run the heater in the coop last night to let them warm up and keep the water liquid. Doesn't faze them during the day tho. Waited till the temp was above 12o before I opened the pophole and out they ran :cd
The delay before going out was nice. Gave me the chance to grab a second cup of brew
