Ocap, yeah, those are a must when it's slippery. It's so much nicer to have proper traction when walking outside. Plus you walk in a much more relaxed manner, without them I tend to walk in a very tense way, tightening every muscle all the time. Not very comfortable, really.

sorry... Doesn't anyone make good-looking snow boots? I realize it's a sacrifice of glamor for utilitarianism, but this is the least sexy foot apparel I've seen in a long, long time.

Maybe I need a second cup.....

On my first cup. ran out of my usual coffe and had to get a stronger roast. It's ok just stronger. Definitely a case of less is more.

I like the second pair on Alaskan's post. I like the soft, lightweight, flexibility of neoprene. The double layer is a must! I have a pair with inner liner and they are warm. But By the time I get them on and tied I'm over heated. And they are heavy. I have a nice looking furry lined pair that zips for the intermediate temps 0-32, and an unlined Great looking unlined pair for fashion! I use 2 pair of thinner socks in when it's colder out.

We got about 3 inches last night and about 1 more coming down this morning. Looks so pretty and fresh outside!

Chickwhispers sounds like my day. I have coffee all day in between everything and after everything. I am very excited today I am going to pick up a duck hen so my peking drake will have a girlfriend and quit trying to breed the chicken hens. YEAH!!!
