Thanks guys! I'm so proud to have them and can't wait to raise them up, hatch some of their babies, introduce new lines and maybe even start my own line of blue spangleds! It's so exciting to watch them mature! I can't wait!

I get up when I want lol usually around 7 but sometimes I nap and sleep in. My favorite brand of espresso is Moka Joe free trade organic Sumantra blend.
I got my chicks at midnight last night so it was definitely a coffee morning!

Lol my friend loves orpingtons too! I have 3 haffies, which happened when a mottled orpington got into the ayam cemani pen

And she just caught them in the pen again a few days ago!!

I have switched to rose tulsi tea as it is after 1 pm & I need to sleep sometime.

Orpingtons are so fluffy!!

It's very unreliable. It's anywhere from 50-70 during the day and can get as low as the 20s at night.

HAPPY DANCE!!!
We did our E-taxes and since we came out on the positive side, decided to go to town and do a little splurge shopping.
I was able to motivate the entire time with only minimal physical assistance and only minor pain meds

Serious progress! Hubby said I could pick out the toddy pot I want for Valentine's Day. He sure knows the way to this girl's heart

Bad news. We are supposed to get close to -30 F actual temps tonight. Had to crank up the coop heater to keep the water from freezing for sure and my chookies too. Spoiled girls.
Now we are all snuggled in with a big mug of the good stuff, a lap blankie and my lap puppie. Lap kitty has the other recliner all to herself and DH is stretched out on the couch.
We are so blessed.
