Chickisoup, i envy you your current toasty warm condition.

I am trying to force myself out the door. A raptor was sitting on one of the fence posts by my muscovy flock this morning.

I was free of raptors all summer due to a flock of crows. The crows have sadly moved on, and the raptors are back.

It has warmed up enough outside so there is a cold drizzle of rain helping to form an ice sheet over all of the snow.

I need to expand my duck coop, (so there is a good spot for water) and then lock the ducks inside.

What a pain, I really hate construction in cold nasty weather.

(Grouse, grouse, grump, grump, complain, complain, crows!)

Make sure the coffee is ready for you after the job is done!

Good freezing morning everyone, ho ho ho!!!!!
Seriously, sitting here with my mug in my hand and my puppy warming my toes curled up in my recliner with my tablet nice and cozy and hoping you all are the same. -7 f here right now but not a huge deal for us that are used to the cold, even tho this is a bit early even for us.

I do worry a bit about my southern friends and your feathered family members who are not accustomed to the horrible weather you may be getting. A little prayer for you all.

-hot coffee in hand and feathered family is doing fine! -pecking at their feeders like mad!!! (all have remained in the coop...not wanting to venture out onto the sleet sheet) -can't imagine -7, but loving our 24 this fine morning! -beautiful out there.......just beautiful!

We warmed up, and are still warm this morning.

Coffee is hot though.

Can't decide what to do with my ducks though. Where to lock them in, what to cover, etc. etc.

Headache.
