Her husband passed april 15 last year of cancer. and it has been even harder on her without him to help her keep fighting.

So sorry about your mom and prayers coming your way! My mom is in a nursing home now too. It became permanent this last week.

Diabetes and dementia. So sad how it robs you of your memories.

No. (dummy, me) I didn't think of that. It seems to just be my NHs so I've been messaging with someone about them specifically. I really feel dumb b/c I just directed someone else to the disease threads yesterday.

We need a face palm emoticon. lol

Chicki I would call the place you got them from and tell them the problem. Most of the time they have a farm contract for their chicks and just get the eggs shipped to them. You State should have a State Vet that can tell you where they send poultry to be tested. If you have a State Ag Dept. they should have a lab that does the testing. I am sorry for your losses. But I would separate the NH from the other chicks.

You State should have a State Vet that can tell you where they send poultry to be tested. If you have a State Ag Dept. they should have a lab that does the testing. I am sorry for your losses. Thanks for the advice. I'm keeping the NH chicks separate now. I'll have to check out the Ag Dept. I don't think Fla has a State Vet, but I'll check it out. =)
