Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

That is an awesome view Deb. It is great to live somewhere you can see all the stars at night

not just the stars but the milkyway too. I dreamt about the place before I bought it... One of the few places you can see the Leonid meteor shower in The county. It happens In November usually around the time they are falling the cloud cover is interfering.

I have a spot where I want to build a deck in the rocks to the west of my house about fifty feet away. Its a natural amphitheater and a good place to keep a Telescope locker. Probably about the size of a good sized living room.

Sounds like a great idea Deb you will have to share some pics when you get it done. :)

Welcome to all the new coffee drinkers!

I live near a USDA experiment station and they experimented with some kind of flies that lay egge in the fire ants heads and kill them and we have not had any firemants for several, years. That is great but some kind of small ants have taken over and they are really aggravating.

This sounds like the makings for a bad Syfy movie....:)

At this point coffee is the only cheerful thing in the days. We HAVE to wear boots as even the carport is flooding! During severe cold at least I could walk the 400' of shoveled paths in crocks but am literally up to ankles and getting pulled down ,in some areas, now(mud and previous vole tunnels!) so the coffee is a neccessity(in my mind!!) Its a workout and haven't spilled animal food(yet!!!)No rain for next 2 days so getting the chix mucked hopefully can happen.

<<<beggin ma nature for a week of dry PLEASE.

Good Morning all. I've had my coffee. Husband sent to work. Chickens are ranging. Dogs & cats are feed. Children feed a little special breakfast. Ducks are in the tub for a swim. The floors are mopped. Coffee energy has left. Oh no. The duck brooder still needs cleaning. Taken care of the chickens and the ducks are the fun part.

Chickchoon1, I'm sorry to hear of your flooding. The last 3 winters/springs have been wet & muddy here. This one is the worst. Boots are needed to step out in the yard. We are suppose to get a break from rain on Saturday. I'm glad that it has stopped raining for you. Good luck.

A doughnut would be yummy with another cup of coffee. The doughnut shop is 30 minutes away. Not happening.

You would think that they would have learned there lesson with killer bees. Now, we'll end up with some kind of super fly.

do you have one of those plastic childrens sleds? if so they work marvelously in mud for hauling stuff to and fro. and should be able to handle anything you can carry.

When we get mud here its scary stuff. Most of the coastal area is Decomposed granite so a non issue. but The rest is Grey Clay shoe sucking off hip deep clay... and I have seen it pull horse shoes off horses. and have had to use tractors to pull horses out of it.

Yep....

Though the deal with killer bees was stupidity.... Using African bees to mate with honey bees... to make a super honey producer... that is why Killer bees are called Africanized bees. Some dufus left the Queen guard off an experimental hives and they swarmed... Down in Brazil. Back in 1957.... and it took them till 1985 to reach here...

But messing with nature definitely is a bad idea...

Great thought! Have a couple hanging in the barn and should have thought of that idea. Am using a huge old tarp to haul muck from shed(when i get the time to actually get into that)about 50' to compost area.
