THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
The snow (and cold) has FINALLY got to the DH! I've been trying to tell him for over 15 yrs that there would come a time when us old farts would not be able to keep up with the winter chores anymore and if anything ever happened to him I would be s&^%$ (he's a few years older than me). Well, these past two winters have shown him the light. This morning he said to me, "No joke, I'm serious. I'm cancelling the meeting with the logger and we are just going to put the place up for sale."

Good grief! He waits till the packing up will probably kill us to finally admit to the obvious.

Seriously, it will be hard to leave here, we've been here a very long time and it's loaded with memories (and a lot of hard work) but I certainly won't miss 9 months of winter and trying to tend the chickens in 20 below 0. I mean really it's March and we were at 6 F this morning when I went out to chisel water for the girls. I hope we can even sell the place. so many places around here are for sale and we will need to get a good price to be able to afford buying another place. So much to think about, so many unknowns.

Wow, chicki . . . . .just, wow. I can see where it would be very hard, both staying and leaving. Best of luck, I hope you find a new place that makes you so happy, you are eager to leave! (and get a good price for the old one)

Just because they are EE and lay colored eggs does not mean they need to look like Easter Eggs!
