Yard sales here are crazy.... If you have clothes you get swarms of people coming up from Mexico.... then there are the ones from Mexico who drive up with a pickup filled to the brim with furniture they can always add some more. They all hit as many garage sales as they can before noon...

The last one I had at my little house on Pilots Lane I made enough money to pay the rent one month...

Nope not a fan... but a necessary evil at times.

Our gated community in Las Vegas, NV, limited the yard sales to twice a year 7:00-1:00. The gates did not open early. Many houses participated, so there was lots of traffic. It was a great way to offload stuff, especially if you were moving. Probably sold a truckload of stuff we didn't want to haul to NM or the dump. Of course, it meant no dining room table to eat on or plates for a couple of weeks until we finally pulled up stakes for good.

I agree, a necessary evil. But nice to be contributing to the reuse, recycle, repurpose frame of mind.

I feel the same way about yard sales.
The dogamhickie has a label on it for .50 cents and people want to haggle.
Please, -buy it, don't buy it -I don't care.
My mom did that once-at our house- and my husband said never again. At seven in the morning people were coming into our house without knocking to get a chance at the 'good-stuff'
And THEN, there was the lady pulling the plants up our of our yard. Her excuse was she thought we must not want them anymore.

I am blown away. I had never been around a yard sale until today. Im thinking of starting a yard sale business lol

I really like the taste of sweet iced tea. If I drink it I cant sleep though. For some reason my body doesnt like caffeine. I wonder if I could get a check every month for that lol

In Alabama that would be a handicap.
