Got a peek under the broody today. 5 fluffy chicks but one of them was dead

, I wonder if she accidentally stepped on it. 4more eggs yet, I place some in a day later so tomorrow is day 21 for some so might still get some more.

We did let our guard dog roam free for the first time last night, since he learned to jump over the fences and has been retrained to NOT jump over the fences! LOL He's now a 24/7/365 guard dog whom we feel very safe leaving our flock in his paws!...He actually had a rooster, whom he plays with, in his paws this morning, all he did was lick it! :cd I think the rooster took it as a "tasting", but never a tooth on him!

Other than that, it's oppressively hot & humid here, sippin the java indoors until the sun goes down a tad...

Ever have people look at you funny for drinking coffee in hot weather?

Lucky! My guard dog learned from a naughty puppy that it was fun to "play" with chickens.... Yeah....

On the couch, and on the television . . . .

I feel for the parents, I really do.

BB2K did something similar with a 1-lb container of Vaseline when she was a toddler. All over herself, a bedspread (hand made quilt, no less), a nightstand; I thought I would never get it out of the carpet (I have only so much time I can devote to shampooing carpets, after all - it took months).
