Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Y'all almost make me feel guilty that the sun has been shining and the temperature perfect for garden planting the past few days... almost.

Another nice day, but since I've been putting other chores off to get the gardening done, gotta bake bread, mow the lawn and ugh.... laundry to hang out.

So a big hey y'all from VA and I hope things get better soon. Another... hey y'all to all the new folks too.

Hopefully I won't see big yellow CRANES migrating.

Oh.. and the folks that guess at the weather think it's gonna rain here for the next week or so starting tomorrow. Got the kayak ready... just in case.

incubator #2 is acting fritzy... not sure what is going on... I need to go check on it every 10 minutes. It hasn't killed anything that I have noticed... Glory to God! These chicks are supposed to be sold! I can't have them dead, they are pre-orders!

Talking of God, I can tell it is TOURIST season

We had all sorts of strange people in church this morning... one dad and son were here moving to Homer, one couple were here visiting their daughter, and one couple were here on their honeymoon!

Newlyweds are such a HOOT! The world is still all bright and shiny! Kinda neat to just look at them....

Anyway, of COURSE the singing today in church was HORRID bad... but strangely enough none of the guests ran away screaming... surprising but very nice. Not only that, but all of the visitors DROVE up to the church.. and there is a driveway spot that is trying super hard to swallow cars.. the big CRANES are showing up in two-ish weeks to fix the road, and in the meantime it looks super rustic and Alaskan.. super surprised that new folks would have kept driving...

On the chick front, the last batch of shipped eggs that I hatched last week..... maybe 5 or 6 eggs hatched lavender chicks... only 3 made it alive out of the incubator.... 1 died 3 days later, a second I put down today... now down to only ONE lavender chick... a different shade than the last 2 that died/I killed..... but this one is good and robust, a clear keeper.

However, killing little chicks (since I had to kill the lavender chick I went ahead and also killed the spraddle legged chick that I failed at fixing, and kept getting worse) just is barfy.... I don't like it..... hurts the heart... blood thirsty eat eater that I am, it still hurts the heart.

ALSO, my laptop is dieing.. CLEARLY the Internet is one of my addictions... but I simply can't decide on what new laptop to buy, the blasted things are all so expensive, I only vaguely know what it is that I want... I am not at all sure how to pick something out and KNOW that I will be happy with it ...

I am right now having to type using only half of the screen..... arg! And I think that the "stripe of death" is getting larger.... I need to buy a new laptop BEFORE this one become unusable.

I hope things stabilize with your 'bator and your laptop! DH just bought a new laptop for me because he was tired of listening to me grumble over it. You will be relieved once you take the plunge. I hate to spend the money on laptops but it's like coffee, life is just not the same without it.

I fired up my 'bator today -- I received hatching eggs from AZ so I'm pretty excited about having some new Alohas. I'm getting another batch of eggs from AZ next week also. Yay! Happy new chicks to me!

http://www.velocitymicro.com/ They dont build it completely till you order and pay. The company is American based as well.

I bought my sons computer through these people.... I am telling you they do a very very good job for a decent price. His computer so far is four years old he does heavy heavy gaming on his as well as home work and and You tube video.... All at the same time....

The only thing it needs right now as a four year old machine is a bump up on memory in the video card.

If you can find a place to back up your existing computer do it... way before it dies.
