Weather report from Vancouver Island ... 11 celcius here with sunny skies and a few poofy clouds. Went out in shirt sleeves to let the hens out to free range.
It was a bit cool but nice and now hens are sun bathing in the dirt.
Sun good.
Chickens sunbathing better.
Coffee GREAT.

Took a trip to Lancaster, Pa. to pick up a piece of art work. Ate at the Kling family restaurant. They have REALLY good coffee there!

Morning! Drinking coffee and finishing Breakfast. The sun is starting to come up so almost time for chicken chores.

Nope. -supposed to gradually warm to low 70s by Thursday. Friday night a "cool" front comes in with some rain. -will be in the 50s on Saturday. -supposed to be 47 for the high on Sunday, with a low of 29. I call that seasonal!!!! -then, it begins to warm a bit again. (29 to 47 is just about perfect, IMO, for this time of year)

-worked in the back lawn and garden for 2.5 hours this morning! It was refreshing. -chickens scoured more moths from beneath the leaf piles than you could shake a stick at. -time for some afternoon coffee and a new creamer - caramel. Hmm. -will see how this flavor tastes...

i know what you mean about cold its 80 here and its suppose to get around 83 now thats brrrrr lol

Good Morning All. it's lunch time here and I am ready for my 3rd cup of coffee. It's warming up here. It's supposed to be 65 this afternoon and 70s this weekend.

Need. Coffee. Lots. Of. Coffee......
My seriously wonderful and amazing 74-year-YOUNG mother left mid-morning after spending a few days with us. She and I took nice, long walks (on which I desperately tried to keep up with her). We shopped.....and shopped some more until I could no longer shop. (She was still ready to GOOOOOOO!!! ...and continue shopping) This 43-year-OLD is exhausted. -gonna drink a cup...or five, and sit outdoors watching the chickens scratch for a peaceful moment. I can only hope to aspire to her energy level someday. (and as it looks now I ain't gonna make it.
