We got hit with two nights of well below freezing so I have hastily picked tomatoes all over my kitchen waiting to be turned into my amazing chili starter and then canned up to be enjoyed on those cold, snowy days sure to come (that is if my daughter doesn't decide to drive up from Illinois for a visit and talk me out of most of my canning stash again like last year

). I was able to protect the pumpkin vines and the herb garden and now we are back up into the 70's so I can put off those projects for another week or two.

I actually have a bit of down time right now because it is just too warm to start heating up the kitchen right now so I am just watching, and watching, and watching,...................... my big desktop download Windows 10. I sooooooooooo wish our phone company would upgrade their equipment so I could actually receive the high speed DSL we've been paying for. We have all these great features with our DirectTv and Kindle Fire and we can't use any of them because our download is too slow!!!! Other companies keep creeping closer and closer to our area, I hope they get to us soon. (when I was literally the only one in the whole area with a computer, no kidding, our speed was amazing. Now that every snowbird and tourist has some kind of electronic gadget or another and we still have the same phone lines and old server equipment, you get the idea. Anyway, I'm thinking I should have the new Windows up and running sometime around next week. Boring!!!!!

Well, the sunny side of all my losses to the Marek's earlier in the summer is I now have room in my coop to add one of those cold breeds from Sweden or (?) I've been drooling over for so long. Think I'd better start doing some research now, I mean I only have a short time to figure out what my DH is going to get me for Christmas!

No tumbles for you this year. none.
if you can stop the 10 download, I suggest it.
We has to get a new printer a new computer, our old programs were no longer able to be used... It was a terrible mistake.
 
We have an "old" Dell laptop that was my son's first computer - no way in the world would we try to download 10 to it.

The dear old pet may be slow, but it still works - more than can be said of several more recently acquired machines.

This bright, shiny new laptop came with 10 installed; all seems well. I'm still getting used to the idea of a laptop that runs so cool, it doesn't have a fan . . . .
