Well, thought I would pop in and wish everyone a good Sunday morning but it looks like this wonderful thread has died. Oh well, guess I need to grab my coffee and blankie (15o this morning) and find a new home, sigh.

Most of the threads I am on have gone dark. I think it is similar to molting each Fall and Winter, posts seem to lessen.

Still lurking!

The site is slow due to trying to get ready for winter and everything.
We will all be back when we have a reason to bundle up and drink coffee.

Our lives changed -not drastically -but differently, so...
Different life patterns and thought patterns.
I still check in here though.

There were a few trolls being less fun than most of us were used to, and some people just avoided them until they left... but the fun people didn't come back.
It will all return when everyone is snowed in and bored.

Did you report the trolls? I know we should not "feed" them, but clicking on the flag to report them to the Mods helps too.

Some people told me of them when they left. I just try to ignore snarky. They will grow bored and go away.

I have only reported one person ever, and I really hated doing it.

yea, that's kind of why I switched to mostly just occasionally lurking and checking out other threads. Just hoped when I came back i would find some of the fun folks had returned.

October is harvest season here on the farmette with lots to do... Harvesting, putting up produce (canning, drying, freezing, juicing, cider making), getting the yard ready for winter, pruning. Yeah, it'd be nice to be able to leisurely sit at the computer, but the mornings are the time I have the most energy and that's when I'm out in it until it's too dark and then I try to catch up on all the house stuff. So, sorry, have not been able to post much. I kind of miss having a day job because at least then I'd be able to sit down.

BUT coffee plays a big part in my day!

Hey all I haven't been here long and mostly lurking but I'm still here. Just want to say that I agree its just a busy time of year. I for one know how hard it is to keep a house running while my DH2B is in the fields from 7-10/11. While trying to keep the garden going although I think last night's frost went right through the blankets on the garden and ruined the rest of the late tomato crop.
Between the 5 cats 2-3 dogs(depends on if my Mom is here) and three different brooders (different ages plus quarantine)in the sun porch things are crazy around here. And I think I may be more wiped than my DH2B. Lol
