It's my birthday as well, I had a wonderful birthday party

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that SweetPoultry had a great birthday!

It was a good day. I Get my allergy shots on Thursdays which make Fridays a difficult day to get through, so I asked my son to make the pumpkin pies for his exhausted mother.
He did an excellent job. They were beautiful.
Then he took a bite and said, "Was I supposed to put sugar in these?"
I said, "Yes, you were supposed to read the directions... What grade are you making in chemistry again?"
One of our guests said, "It's okay... I was just wondering if maybe I'd never had real pumpkin pie before."

So, the secret to photogenic pie to leave out the sugar.

I think I will make an egg and sausage topping for them and call them breakfast.

I always half the sugar in mine but sometimes for a change I add brown sugar instead of Granular white

Or you could creme brulee them..... sprinkle sugar on top and pop em in the broiler till the sugar caramelizes.
