We are finally having a good day, 70's instead of 90's..

Mushroom hunting on my horizon, then some work this after noon,  after a gallon of coffee now.....

BTW I got a Paypal payment from someone here, so go ahead and say something deep and profound....

Achem, profound statement:

Mushrooms are yummy.

Do not eat the poisonous ones.

Puffballs are awesome and pretty tastless... So all of my kids like them.

Naw, Minnesota does not have those kind of mushrooms. But these sell for almost as much in the Grocery stores.

Yummy! I don't even see a bunch of maggots floating on the surface!

So hard here to get the yummies before they are totally bug ridden. Of course, a good soak fixes it.

I rinsed those 3 times and cut them up before I took the pictures. But they were almost bug free.

The only mushrooms that I pick are the wild version of the common commercial mushrooms. I pick early in the morning and only the caps or 'fresh' mushrooms. Any maggots are hard to see, and a little protein is good with your mushrooms.

Welll Geeeez... it is not like you call them "maggots" when you eat them..


When they are eaten they are called "escargot" .. Sounds way more appetizing.
