Our greyhound used to fog us regularly. We switched to a homemade diet and -- miracle! -- no more noxious gas. I cannot explain it other than there must've been something really rank in the kibble and canned stuff.

Its too hot here for Pyrenees.... Sigh... And stickery..... My girl Rosie learned to stop drop and pluck cactus out of her feet within about two weeks.

So my next dog needs a smooth coat and no fluff around the feet.

Same here.... Good quality food. I used the canned stuff as a treat now and then and for giving pills. Cheese works better though.

I hope to make my own eventually do you can it or just make it up in weekly batches...

Make it into loaves and freeze portions not going to be used within a day or two.

To make your own food it is very difficult to have a complete diet as a stand
alone... I developed one of the very first fresh frozen complete diets about
24 years ago sold it as I was forced to surrender

Oh how I miss my big dogs. Never had a Pyr tho, congrats.

Right now we have a designer dog known as a Teddy Bear. It's a Shitsu/Bichon cross. (should say "I"-I'm the dog person tho DH has grown to love ours). She was a gift from the kids after our Lhasa (a gift from my daughter) passed. She's 7 now and I truly love her but what I wouldn't give for a real working farm dog. BTW-my puppers stopped being a "stinker" as soon as I switched her to a grain free diet.

Only difference for me is I will probably die of suffocation after falling face first into a pile
of chicken poop I was hauling to the garden.

I have been grain free in dog diets since about 93 my old shepard and our corgi cross are the worst offenders...
pry's are great dogs very stable as adults but as most young ladies she is needing a nice lap
after my lab thought to play with her

I am in a bad mood today, so I need more coffee...Our local rural township has been invaded by city folks. They have decided the town board should only allow one garbage hauler in the township instead of allowing "free enterprise" to do it's thing. The problem is one garbage hauler is a jerk and does a sloppy job in my estimation, but it looks like the board wants him....


I thought this was America and we could do business with whomever we wanted? I am just pissy this AM.. So watch out for me coming unglued....
