Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I firmly believe in "putting Down all Ducks'!!!"

The cold is not laughing matter for us up here. Do you know how dangerous it is walking through my coconut grove in this weather? Getting hit on the head with a frozen Coconut can kill you!

BTW that is one sick song.... I might play it for my Grandkids today, We have to go to Duluth (in this cold) for their Christmas program....brrrrrrr

And that is a long song, It just ended.. Glad I do not have to chose between a saxophone or putting down a ducky. I would just hit the duck over the head with the saxophone to put it down...
Don't make me smack you!!

I stumbled onto Peets Coffee - Major Dickason's Blend - Dark Roast Coffee. If you like your coffee strong but not burnt tasting then I highly recommend. It is also available in K-cups. My reward to myself after the morning farm chores are complete. :-D

First of all Welcome to the Thread and Welcome to BYC

I am going to have to give Peets a try.... Only way I have to do it is with a french press.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I don't even know how a French press works. I use an old fashion percolator on the stove when I have time and a K-cup when I am feeling lazy (which seems to be most mornings). I just like strong coffee (black...always black) but it can't taste like the beans were burned beyond recognition (Starbucks has been the end of decent, reasonably priced coffee) My 2 cents for what it's worth.

this is what they look like coffee is placed in the carafe (fresh ground) pour the boiling water wait ten to fifteen minutes then the knob above gets pushed down working a plate that pushes the grounds downward I love mine but take patients and they live in a hospital

they are easy and quick.... Nuke some water put the coffee in then pour the hot water in then the press top. let the coffee brew a bit then the press part pushes the grounds down to the bottom.

But really how ever you like to brew it ..... doesnt matter. the press takes up about the same space as a coffee mug in the cupboard. thats why I like them.

I actually like Starbucks ... but I just get their espresso. I am in the city right now for the time being so I get four shots of Espresso at a local shop not Starbucks. Line is shorter and they know me...

What I want to do when i move back home is locate a home roaster so I can roast my own coffee ....

Like @ronott1

My place is sixty miles away from a grocery store or even a coffee shop of any kind. I would love to be able to roast small batches and not be dependent on a sixty mile drive when i am jonsein for coffee.

I belive @ronott1 has one similar to this...

You can get them used
