Update on dogs that attacked my chickens!
A friend of mine had posted on Facebook about finding the two dogs at her place. :he. She evidently didn't see my post on Facebook. That was about 5:30 pm this evening. 2 hours ago the dog warden picked them up at her house!   :yesss: She posted "Aparrently they have been killing chickens!" :he
I just read it alittle while ago. Tomorrow I will be calling the Dog warden!

Hack, wheeze, slip...... Sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide

First time that I can remember, couldn't drive home.

Just barely made it down the drive..... It just isn't fun sliding all over the road with no big snow berm to keep me from rolling down the mountain.

Parked "next door" and hiked home through the snow. I had my tall boots on, so except for the one time i sank up to my waist, no problem.

Mountain people are brave! That is my biggest fear of mountains.

And hills and overpasses and bridges and curves and ditches in the winter...

OK cousin Richard showed up and plowed the drive at 8 AM. The walks are shoveled as is the porch and deck. Why are my cheeks so tingly? It's warmed up and is now 6 degrees F. Last night the deer decided to pull a 'shrubbery raid'. I have three upright Euonymous that hadn't repaired from last winters attacks - yep, they targeted them.

I sprayed everything with a noxious smelling spray that works fairly well - day late and a dollar short.

I haven't tried the K cups. I never liked Starbucks in the shops. I always thought the only way you could stand Starbucks was to add all of the Foo Foo stuff.

The deer have attended dinner frequently, but still they return. Recently in a hay field at the end of our road I counted approximately 52 deer. Hunting pressure around here is rather light, and an aerial deer census several years ago indicated a population of 200 deer per square mile. Generally they stay out of the yard because our golden will chase them (until she reaches the Invisible Fence.).
