HEHEHEHEHE

I also have to get her new saddle on her.  My crazy teenager roo has decided she's his favorite and let's just say he is still getting the "knack" of things and it's costing her a more than a few feathers!!!  :smack It doesn't help that he's a heritage Aussie and she's a little 3 yr old sex-link!  Can you say SQUISH???     :gig

got the same problem in my middle pen. My youngest roo, a big white boy, has decided the 2 white hens in his pen are his favorite. They are both missing quite a few feathers on their backs...

Note to all you all!

Goose fat pastry for apple pie:

I test baked a tiny bit first before turning it into pie, and, well,

So, I did my standard super good Crisco pie crust.

It might not be healthful, but it sure is GOOD! The stuff that was going to be goose fat pie crust I turned into goose fat drop biscuits. THOSE were very good. Especially since we had them with goose fat gravy and slow cooked goose! After we sat down, I realized that I could have served asparagus or carrots too. But the meal of fat, fat, fat, and heavy cream sure was good! My spouse got caught at a bake sale, so wasn't home to see what I was serving for dinner.

As to geese:

1. they are larger than chickens or ducks, so less things can kill them, so it is easier to have them free range

2. they eat almost %100 grass, TRULY! and they just mow it off, they don't kill it right off like chickens.

3. they grow like crazy, so eat them all before you have to pen them up for the winter and worry about the mess.

4. If you want them to mow your lawn evenly, you will need to have a child assigned as goose herder....so you need a 5 year old (old enough to work, young enough that it doesn't need to do any school, so the child can sit out ALL day long and herd

)

5. For some reason they like taking a siesta every day on the front walk to the front door...and they poop every 7 minutes.

Very good to know!!!
So, not as messy as ducks?
I like #2 and #4 the best.

good morning,
minus 4 and I need at least two cups before daylight, then haul the liquid water, I need two equally weighted buckets or I fall over in the snow.
John

I could not do this (even with the buckets equally weighted); I would just fall over in the snow.
Well, I think I would; I've never seen snow deep enough to fall over in.

IMO, the only spouses that aren't the sort that "must be put up with," are just so good at manipulation, their spouses don't know what's going on.

Guess which kind I am?

Yep, being put up with.

Most of the time.

I must be the other. I thank DH for "putting up with me" and he says he's not putting up with me.

I'm doing this from my "Smart phone" now. It's still not as smart as my computer!

. OK Gotta go start some supper. I'll give the smileys a rest for now.

a little half&half and a bunch of sugar
DH takes his the opposite (lots of half & half and a few grains of sugar)

Oh, better way to say mine:
super dark and really sweet!!!!
wink.png

DH likes his coffee the way he likes his wife; really pale and not as sweet as she, I mean it should be.
