Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

We visited Big Meadows section of Shenandoah National Park and remember the Pecan Pie. I remember the recipe contained bourbon. I did an internet search and found the information below:

Big Meadows Lodge in Shenandoah National Park
Mile 51.2, Skyline Dr.
Luray, VA 22835

Historian Babs Melton, director of the Museum of American Presidents, takes tea sippers on a journey through the history of two of America's most spirited women - Lou Hoover & Eleanor Roosevelt - while desserts from the First Ladies' favorite recipes and a variety of teas are served. You'll enjoy Lou Hoover's Apricot Mousse and Eleanor Roosevelt's Pecan Pie.
LOL that's about 45 min from where I grew up so maybe that's where she got the recipe. Too funny!

One of my coworkers had a headache at lunch and he admitted that he hadn’t had any caffeine this morning. His wife said: yeah the Keurig broke in the coffee mess. I said, well, why didn’t you have the regular coffee from the coffee pot…and he scrunched up his nose. I said I would drink Bear urine if it would stop me from getting a caffeine withdrawal migraine.
We spent the rest of lunch laughing about which was worse, drinking bear urine or a caffeine headache. Almost universally, people said they would be willing to try it…

It's a whompin' 9 F today, sunny and bright with a predicted high of 19 F.  C'mon folks, this is NJ not the arctic!  Winter storm Titan approaches, and they are hedging their bets - it's gonna be a bad'un.  :idunno

Ha.... We had about two weeks of winter. Had our normal, everyday snow, wind gusts up to 100mph, cold around 0 (yep, never gets that cold where I am).

But, last three days, for the second time this "winter" we are having spring. Up in the 40s, snow melting, slush, I can see my driveway again. Surreal.

And we have gone back to what we consider "normal" winter - nights in the upper 20's - low 30's, days in the upper 40's - mid 50's. I don't mind the temperature, I can work outside all day at those temps without roasting or freezing. It's the endless gray days that are getting to me!
