Just curled up with a big mug watching the snow while the chooks are playing in the greenhouse. Not ready for this. Haven't even finished the fall pruning yet

SNOWING??? You have snow?

I am not fully prepared yet either, but even though I have had ice and frost...no snow yet.

hehe. I am starting to get headaches when I don't have coffee now days.

I know this is supposed to be a coffee thread....

but I am BURSTING with cuteness!



they are still hatching.....I think I have 10 so far (14 fertile eggs)

and it is COOOOOOOLD today, but I tried to make their coop warmer. They are actually in the coop that I fixed up for my chickens...my poor chickens who are now stuck in the shed, uninsulated, darker. colder... poor chickens, but the chickens are nowhere near as cute as baby muscovies.

I have so much outside work that I still need to do before everything is frozen solid to the ground and/or covered in snow...but I do NOT like working in the freezing cold (whine whine whine, giant barrel of wine) anyway, need to run out now and finish a poop tray in the shed for the chickens...mush mush cold Alaskan....just put on a second layer of long johns! stop whining!

2nd cuppa already to warm up. Not too bad this am. Only down to 28o last night. Supposed to get to the high 40s today and sunny so I probably won't need my usual 2 quarts to get my tree pruning done.

lol im sure loving my 80 degree weather with plenty of sunshine!

lol in fact my chicks are outside scratching for some bugs.
