Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

You could do a dome shape with pipe too, that should support it.

Across 25 feet? Not without a truss of somesort... Cable would be quicker....

25 feet is 7.6 meters. there is a thirty foot Eucalyptus tree on one end of the yard. I could run a cable from there all the way to the chicken coop.... Appx 125 feet or 38 meters. To a single post set in concrete with bracing... Rig a "Snatch Block" pully to a "come along" to stretch the cable.

Nice thing about a snatch block is it can be removed after the rigging is done....

then run the net up the cable with Carabeners. Or something similar.

I don't think 25 feet is a problem. If you make arcs with maybe 2 feet elevation, and secure them well sideways, I think it shoul work. But that's just a rough draft in my head, maybe you're right that it couldn't take the stress. The pipe material would matter too, of course...

DD lost the barred Cochin Bantam pullet yesterday morning that was sick a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, she had worms, not coccidiosis. That's the last time I risk a chicken's life for ten days with a round of Corid treatments before I risk it for one day with a dose of Wazine. Oh, well, live and learn.

I'll shut up now.

Better yet, I just won't post it.

Its not the stress.... I am concerned about.... Its the act of construction. No matter any way I probably wont be doing any of it.... no coop no run.... for a very very long time....

@TeaChick super :hugs

That totally bites!!! :hit

That is the one thing that bums me out about poultry...they die SO EASILY!!! There is no way your favorite chicken is going to great you 14 years after she is hatched. Heck, I haven't even managed to get a chicken to reach age four. :p

If they are not better after one day of corid, at the correct dosage of course(It is not that easy to find), then it is not cocci.

Sorry you lost her!
