Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Okay then, What about hot sauce? What am I allowed to put that on?

I love Chalula on just about everything.... But I also like it mixed int Catsup.... bwhaahahahah

I like it with woks and other semi Asian things I cook up.
Not an Asian profile at all. Its got a Vinegar back and a chile front.

NO, not tobasco...Cholula.

Not all hot sauce is equal.
Don't you sleep?
Go to bed!

and I shall force myself to go to.. .w o r k. blaa.

Have any of you tried home made Catsup.... I have yet to give it a try. From the Food Network shows I have seen increadibly easy to make as well.

For what its worth... I like Catsup on certain things... Hamburgers and french fries of course.... but I like it on meatloaf cooked on top and as a dipping sauce. Catsup is also an excellent base for different other sauces like barbeque sauce or seasonings for stews...

Even some salad dressings can be made with Catsup as a base. Catalina comes to mind...

Mayo is a staple in this family. We use it straight on salads without other additions. Put a glob on and toss the salad....

Mayo is my base for Coleslaw dressing.... Mayo vinegar sugar and paprika.... pretty much it.

Mayo is also my base for Tartar sauce for fish.... Mayo chopped onions pickle relish and a bit of vinegar or lemon juice to bring the acid up

I use Mayo in deviled eggs.... With a little yellow mustard... and paprika sprinkled on top

I use Mayo in Egg salad.... with herbage no pickles

BLT is nothing without Mayo

I use Mayo in guacamole

In allmost all cases Mayo can be substitued by Greek yogurt... but you have to be sneaky with it in this family.... My son and I love Greek yogurt... But the GRandmas Think Yogurt is nasty... They dont know how many times they have been fed Yogurt instead of mayo or Sour cream.... Bwahahahah not telling either.

I've never actually had a candied apple, I don't think they're all too common outside the US.

Try one once.... with salted caramel on it.... OMG.

My favorites as a kid were ones that were candied using cinimon (I really hate that word) candies melted then the apple is dipped in and coated.... The candy shell is sooo hot it cooks the apple a bit from the outside in.... Great taste combo...

I dont eat them often and probalby have had one candied apple in the past thirty years but I have fond memories of them at the fair and at Halloween time.

I snag them up at Vons.... I buy a couple and freeze them for later. If you ask the meat guy they will get them in for you.

I havent done that yet but I have ordered Rib roasts for cooking prime rib style... OH sooo easy. they split them along the rib and tie the roast so you can cook them standing on ther ribs.... Makes it very easy to carve for the table. Grandma and I wrestle over the bones... I usually get two or three bones.

It also gives many people digestive upsets. I myself can't have even 1 itsy bitsy little piece of the stuff.

Yup! Chocolate goes with everything!

Oh, I was wondering today about side effects. Thanks for the heads up! =)

I did read about girls using it to lose weight.

I have an ice breakers or two each day and it does not do anything to me.

I could stand to lose some weight though....

Now, that's a nice side effect; I could definitely use some help in that department.
I'll have to look into it. My mom kept Trident in her purse. I'm not into the new fangled stuff; just plain old chewing gum.
I just read that chewing gum while studying can help kinetic learners, so I was considering trying that. I'll have to try it anyway.

Couldn't we all???

Hi everyone - I have a nice black bandaid on the hole in the barn - duct tape of course... still winterizing and learning to drive the tractor
And drinking coffee

hugs.gif

Duct tape is wonderful stuff!!!
How did ppl get along before duct tape, vet wrap, and Gerber cloth diapers??? lol
Coffee's been around for "ever", so that's obviously a necessity! ;)

sigh I have eaten a whole bag of it before..... Not a thing.....

@chickwhispers

Might be good..... Chocolate chunk pumpkin pecan pie.

See, you need the pumpkin because that way you can eat more pie.....for the Vitamin A!

No, I leave the pumpkin out of that. I'm not a huge fan of the huge orange things to begin with. I only eat spiced pumpkin pie that has aged at least three days. Otherwise, I don't go near the stuff. Oh, well, there is Bourbon Pumpkin Cheesecake (epicurious.com), which my girls make as individual servings in cupcake papers in the muffin tin (warning: make twice as much crust mixture, and don't leave out the pecans, or substitute for more crumbs)...

Vitamin A as an excuse to eat more pie? No, thanks! I'll take the antioxidants in chocolate first; I don't need to see it, I just need to find it to eat it!!!

Pumpkin - yes you can eat more because you'll be eating your veggies that way. And Pecans are a good source of protein!

Xylitol, for me it;s more like Y-at-all. I guess some of are are just very sensitive folks,

It's getting hard to find just regular gum at the check out. I will usually pick some up in the candy aisle in bulk packaging. Last me along time. I don't usually chew much gum anymore. It also has a way of acting like super glue and pulling out fillings.

I was chewing gum and trying to avoid artificial sweeteners. The only thing I could find was Wrigley's, like DoubleMint and Big Red.
Remember the double your pleasure with Double Mint gum commercials??? *sigh

Very cool roo!
