Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I have attached a picture of my front yard this week with a picture of my favorite coffee cup in the foreground.

Snow :th
So pukey outside when I opened the pophole nobody would go down the ramp except my young Aussie roo! That was my cue to head back for the house and my big mug of coffee :D

I feel your pain.... And commiserate greatly.

I remember a year where we were up to two feet of the evil whiteness by Nov. 11!!!

So far however, we haven't even had the "everything is now frozen to the ground until spring.....hope you wanted it there"

Took me many years to learn, but I have finally (hopefully) gotten ahead of the "hope you wanted it there" thing. I have taken to patrolling daily for things that might not be where I desire them to remain until spring. My hubby on the other hand I fear is not following my lead with his various carts, barrows, tractors, etc. Which means I am probably gaining several miscellaneous lawn ornaments until May, sigh.

(Insert panic here) Thanks for the reminder! I've spent so much time preparing my chickens for winter, I forgot to work on the barn! :th :th :th

I greatly admire your cleanliness and organization!

We did a big clean yesterday......put away the air compressor that had been so handy at the edge of the parking area, and we also put away the boats.

But, I am not done building yet (panic sounds :barnie ) so i still have scrap wood piles etc on the ground. We are at the point where I had to kick some boards free so that I could use them.

I am being so slow this year.....just asking for trouble.

Morning :caf

Stayed warm enough overnight for a horefrost so everything is covered in a sparkling coat of white as the sun rises. Supposed to actually get to the low 40's today, yea! Before the next front comes through tonight, boo. Anyway, it's a really pretty morning and a good day to finish up the last outdoor project for the year (putting a clear panel roof over the area between the coop and the greenhouse which will keep the snow off the pophole/nestbox/run gate area).

Oh, and a good day to get all those "lawn ornaments " into the sheds!!!

Time now to refill my mug and head for the coop.

Have a great weekend everyone!
