Poor hubby had to go to town for tractor parts and I made him pick me up some special coffees so I can play with it more!!!

We got some of that snow early this morning that turns to concrete if the temp drops and it is supposed to start later today and be low as 10o tonight and our first potential for zero tomorrow night.
With a couple more inches of snow later today. Looks like the pumpkin pies I was going to bake this morning will have to wait till I get the heavy stuff off the greenhouse and outbuildings while I still can. Hubby would normally, he's such a sweety really, but he's now hard at work on our snow moving tractor and then it's getting ready for the deer hunting guys that start arriving later today.
For the next week I will dwell in "man land" and function only as deer camp cook. It's his week and I love helping him enjoy it BUT!!!

THANK THE LORD IT'S ONLY ONCE A YEAR!!!!

Have fun Camping!

It is very windy here today. Wind advisories with gust at 60 in the Foothills\mountains. I am in the valley so the gust will top out at 40.

Thank you cindynkidsd!  :hugs

mine will never go away (it's a side effect of the leukemia as well as the drugs used to control it, whoppee) BUT, fortunately it is progressing slowly and it's something I've learned to function with and I have a really great oncologist and support system.  Besides, on the days things just don't want to function (got motor neuropathy too, oh goody) I have a good excuse to just curl up with my coffee mug and my puppy in my recliner!!!! :pop  :hugs

Yes Alaskan, it often gets me out of shoveling snow!!!!  Unfortunately, not this morning.  Had to shovel a path before my spoiled chickens would come out of the coop! :cd

AND,where was my hubby????  out front making a snowman!  :th

Was it a Calvin and Hobbs snowman?

Nothing better than a row of snow goons to great you when you come up to the house!

As to rodents:

The family here has studied all of the little rodents that we get. The voles are cutest. Their faces look most stuffed animal like.

Alaskan forgot to mention:

The plow that is sitting in the parking lot, is in great shape.

The tuck that is used to push the plow around is in the shop.

The 1974 tractor, looks like it is good, the tire has held air for over a week now.

The snow blower that goes on the tractor is in the shop.

The little tiny Honda tractor is running alright.

The tiny little snow blower that goes on the Honda is buried somewhere, with pieces somewhere....somewhere.

All the cars still have their summer tires on.

And yes....it is snowing, 6 inches expected.

I don't care about my drive....but I am also responsible for the drive next to mine......eight people plus a church use that other driveway.

:barnie

I did finish all pre-snow clean-up just yesterday.

Alaskan sounds like he might need to hitch his voles to the snowplows :lau
