BTW, I think I need to move by you where it's warmer!!! Get a break for the next two days then it's four days with below zero highs and they are saying that the
HIGH DAYTIME TEMP FOR MONDAY IS SUPPOSED TO BE -20 F !!!

Nighttime temps are supposed to be in the -30 to -35 (possibly even to -40) Sunday and Monday night

I plan on spending the next two days taking down decorations and storing them away so the front "junk"/bedroom is all cleared of boxes etc. so I can get all the critter carriers in there if I need to bring the chickens into the house. Their radient oil heater has been doing a pretty good job so far keeping the roost warm (tho I did have to put in the electric waterer because the water near the floor was freezing) but if it can keep the coop a decent temp when the outside is -30 to -40??? With no reprieve for several days who knows.

I was able to let the girls out into the greenhouse again today. Even tho the windchill was way below zero we had some sunshine that warmed it up to above freezing in there. I let them in there whenever possible just because it is good for them. they are able to get a little exercise jumping around in there and dust bathing as well as they are able to just set on the hay bales on the the shelves and soak up some needed vitamin D.

Aww you northern folks sure have to deal with a lot! I'll stay here where it's 15 day and -4 tonight overnight. We do have -10 to -15 for overnight lows coming our way Sunday and Monday. :( But that is still Better than - 20 to -40. :D

Amen on that Northern weather - at this point in life negative temperatures would freeze up all semi movable body parts.
