Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Of course it's all gone. It slid down the volcano and all the way to Florida

Good -22F morning all

with a "you must be joking" wind chill.

We do however at least have some snow. For those of you who don't already know, snow acts as an insulator to protect the plants from the cold. Unfortunately we only have about 18", far below what we need to protect things and keep the frost depth from going to China. Really not looking forward to gardening this year. It's just depressing to think about all my mature herbs and perennials, they are all surely toast, sigh. Sorry. Guess the confinement is getting to me. Too darn cold to even go out and move drifts.

My heart goes out to all you southerners and your critters. You guys are just not prepared for this crazy weather.
Your temperature looks like you should be wary of ice snakes

Morning.
I try not to complain because you all have it so bad.
But I need to know; Do you all have two sizes of shoes? one sock is good, two socks and it is pinch-ie
And clothes, do you have to have it all in inner, middle, and outerwear sizes so your arms don't stick out?
layering doesn't work down here. Five t-shirts and my arms are still cold.

Is it snowing there yet?
I don't do well below 72 degrees.
Truthfully, I don't do well below 84. Supermarkets kill me. I am the woman shopping in the parka in the middle of summer.

It snowed here once about 27 years ago. I was able to scrape enough snow off of the greenhouses to make three snow people (They we only about five inches tall) but it was all my fingers could stand.

Yup, it's snowing all over Georgia, even south of Atlanta.

Thanks! We really aren't! People go crazy. Grocery stores are raided of bread, milk and eggs. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about that.
How warm do y'all get in the spring and summer? I can't imagine how short your growing season must be.
