Poor baby!!!

Southern sweet tea is a staple. In the summer (May - October

) we keep a huge drink dispenser on the countertop filled with sweet tea. My family loves the stuff! (I personally prefer un-sweet with a sprig of fresh peppermint, and keep a pitcher of it in the fridge. Nobody else touches it.)

Wait; you don't start summer until May?!?!?

I love coffee and good old southern sweet tea is my favorite cold drink.

Oh, baby!!! Sweet tea, and fried chicken, with really good biscuits and real butter.......

I'm getting hungry just sitting here.

Our old dog fell into the ornamental pond, so she got the 6 am bath before coffee... and then we discovered that we were out of creamer.
I hope the day improves.

When you hit the bottom, there's nowhere to go but up.

I just want to thank Alaska for sending the heat down here it has been a beautiful day. The chickens also said thanks. They enjoyed the temps in the 70s.

So, the attire for the event was church, business, or business casual. I went with business, in hopes of not being underdressed. I have been to an event before that was formal when I didn't know it was--it's awkward!

So, day after tomorrow.... Oh boy!

So sorry Alaskan. Down here the snow is gone and has left a pile of mud in it's wake. It's now 59 degrees, 7am, and rainy. Even in rain boots I have a hard time getting to the chickies. Not attempting it until I've had my morning fuel. today it's Starbucks cafe verona mixed with folgers breakfast blend. Pretty darn tasty.

I think, down here, we've started.
Which means summer is in a couple days.
Although, my pear tree has just started it's Autumn colors.

I do not know what anything means anymore.
