Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

ALASKAN, Hmmm. I might like vanilla, just not anything like Pumpkin Spice.

A week ago we put our mini poodle to sleep, one week before his 19th birthday. He was deaf, about 90% blind, could barely walk/stand, and was losing weight because it was so difficult for him to eat, had to be taken out once or twice a night. The main thing was, though, that I wanted to end his pain.

cindynkidsd, Thanks. He was so feeble that I was more prepared than I have been with most pets.

We are on the edge of that ourselves. She is still eating and getting up and out on her own... she just seems 'lost' a lot. I also do not know if she is in pain. She still likes to "go" where ever it is we go. She is just ready to go home as soon as we get there.

I am preparing the rest of the family, but she may last another two years. I just wish I knew when the time is and not too early or too late.

I know you will miss him. Nineteen years is a long time to have a friend.

3goodeggs, it is so much easier when there is some definitive. I hope your decision comes easily. One of our dogs went in her sleep and we really hoped for that with this last one.

I have not seen sourland George in three days. I hope he's alright.

I was thinking the same....

Ahhh, that explains it....
Ack, all I wanted was sleep but my half demon-half goat hybrid monster (Aka adopted dog) decided to jump on my bed, and pee on my mattress.

I would be more like this ...

!

yes, yes, kill all dogs,.

After getting up at 3:30 with the dog, I got to get up again at 6. At 6 I left him outside, but then at 7 he started barking.
Please not all dogs...I still want one.

I'll take your pumpkin spice and you can have my vanilla. OK?

I have never seen a case of a Wolf eating the Ground Hog but based on the weather I would say it is a very bad omen. Alaska, do you have a witch doctor up there that you could consult on the matter. Andrew Jackson ran all of our dependable witch doctors off.

I AM SO HAPPY IT'S FEBRUARY! At 10 am the sun is high in the sky instead of hiding behind the southern treetops

Still around zero for outside temp but almost 40o in the greenhouse. I have some very happy chooks!
Just sitting at my kitchen table staring at the snow but soaking in the sunshine and dreaming of spring.

Oh crap, my computer just popped up a weather alert message. I hate reality.
