Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Alaskan, what do plan on doing with that many chickens? it's all fun and games until they hatch, and you have a trillion peeps emanating from your bath tub. You will go loony.

Spring is is tiring. I Needed 2 pots of coffee this morning.
We now have coyotes visiting our place. Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
They better eat their weight in rodents and leave my chickens alone.
I will put a sign up,"move along, these are not the chickens you are looking for."

And raccoons. They knew I planted corn some how. I never plant corn, but the seed catalog enticed me.

OH! On the orchard from, One peach tree has fuzzy little peaches on it.!!

and there are mulberries on the mulberry tree... and... I still haven't trimmed back the Grapes, so ... I guess I better get doing.

Plan your spring well. and hit the ground running, once that snow melts it will be summer.

One of the guys I am ordering eggs from said that his chickens are laying very well right now, instead of the 18 I asked for, would I like SIXTY :th :th :th

He wants to sell them to me for only $10 a dozen, and they are very high quality rose comb dark brown and also white leghorns. :barnie

THERE IS NO WAY I CAN STUFF 100 EGGS INTO AN INCUBATOR DESIGNED FOR 48!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( actually, it would be 60 leghorn eggs, 24 Dominique eggs, and 12 bantam eggs....is is wrong to hope that some get broken in transit? ..... Something is deeply wrong with me..... But then we already knew that)

HOW DO I SAY NO??!?????? :barnie

well, you don't
just get a bigger bator :D
ooooh, i agree with TJO, time to teach the voles how to incubate. So you'll need more bators.
I think we can make this work :clap

those darn critters are too smart for their own good.

It's spring all right. Severe thunderstorms here in the south, with potential for tornadoes. And again come Monday. Happy April.
Oh well, at least it's warm

Freezing rain and hot coffee here...

hang in there. The ice is over here, trees are all nice and shiny and now it's snowing, hard!!! and all this beautiful weather should be heading your way so that should fix your driveway right up for you!

Even with another 1/2 foot or so of really heavy, wet, snow expected the schools are still open, just delayed the start by 2 hours to give the salt trucks time to get the ice off the roads. I'm sure they will let out early but they had to have the little gremlins show up for at least a couple hours so the day counts because they have already had so many snow days any more and they wouldn't get out for summer until July.

We still have power

at least for now. The trees were already hanging low from the ice and now this snow is sticking on everything so it probably won't be for long. Oh well, nothing new. We're ready. Got the generator up on the porch and wood brought in for the fireplace. It's just barely below 32o so it's not that cold and the wind has laid down so keeping warm won't be a problem. Did fill up extra drinking water jugs FOR COFFEE (and a couple buckets for the toilet) so we won't have to fool with hooking the other generator to the well.

We were just starting to really see some dirt my poor, confused, chickies.
