Yep, still lots of snow, but stuff IS melting. I saw the edge of a water jug yesterday. So nice. We start the winter with plenty of water jugs, feed buckets and snow shovels.... But, by the end of the winter we have very few of anything.... So the kids have to fight over who gets the water jug/feed bucket/snow shovel first, and who has to wait. We are about to start the WHERE did I put the summer tires!!! i have been living up here for almost 15 years.... Still haven't learned.

It's a very nice day here. Taking a short break from chicken duties. Working on cleaning the coop. Making space to put sikies in the sick bay. Would rather be doing something else after being cooped up in the house all winter. But oh well at least it'll be done. Ok back to cleaning.

and I not only bid on my SECOND choice for color (but a kind of low bid, because I am not really sure I really want that color), but I just messaged a breeder with EXPENSIVE eggs, asking if he would have any this week.

I agree with #1, but I think #2 should be limited to this thread. (We'd miss you if you were gone!!!)

hello people, has anyone else tried coffee in their cereal instead of milk? it is really good! and if you are going somewhere it's faster than having them separately

I have always used grass clippings with my Ladies and once I ran out of grass to cut so I bought some bedding and they quit laying.

But when I used the shredded paper they started again.
Cant have that so now I have permission to cut some of my neighbors yards for their grass if I run short. But I keep the paper handy too. It does work well for me.

I use leaves (large and small) for DL and small leaves in pine straw for nesting.
