I don't care if it's politically correct or not; it's funny!!!

I did not know they all wave in unison.
That's cool.
So, all over this site all the waves are happening at the same time?

...There is so much more in life to wonder about, and this intrigues me? geesh.
I gotta get out more.

I like all of those too. Hehehe

I prefer tea in the evening. Although strangely, I haven't found that coffee would keep me from sleeping...

Tea on the coffee thread??????

Should we banish him, folks???????

You are young yet. Give it time.
Pretty soon everything will keep you from sleeping. drips in the shower... your dog snoring. acorns falling on the roof.

It's my kids that keep me from sleeping, or sleeping well at least. *twitch *twitch

Melatonin helps. I have the kind from Costco that dissolves.

I like the dissolving kind. Especially the sublingual one.

@perchie.girl , I like the "after coffee before spring" project list. I'll have to start one of those.

Hi Peeps
having my evening cup of joe and smoking my pipe to relax after a fun filled day of taking my 90 year old mother to the doctor and then grocery shopping, I'm worn out.
Nobody answered my question : Do chickens eat ants?
I put some kitchen leavings in the maggot master 5000 that I built waiting to see if the black solider flys will march in lay eggs and make some maggots or as my southern girl friend calls them Iggots.LoL
I know I'm going to pay for having this coffee but I want it, I need it and I'm gonna have it!
Sure hope theres a good movie on at 2 or 3 o'clock because I'm sure I'll be awake to watch it.

Yes, they eat some kinds. Mine eat fire ants. I've lived in Fla all my life, I know they "have no natural predators" here in No Am. My chickens didn't read that part of the encyclopedia. lol
I hope you enjoyed your movie. What did you watch?

five more cockerels need to go to freezer camp, maybe Monday.

I'm not looking forward to my next appt with freezer camp candidates. At least one will be my oldest's LF Cochin, Lavender (we named him that before we realized he wasn't a she).
I hope it all goes well for you.

Last night we sent two broad breasted turkey off to get ready for freezer camp in exchange for some roosters! I love to barter on poultry! I will get to cook and eat one of my own home grown turkey this year! I am very excited!

I want turkeys.

I had a friend who was a pilot, he wore contact lenses and had one that was fitted so he could see close up and one fitted for far.
He said it worked pretty good.
Needless to say I never flew with him I was always afraid he would use the wrong eye and we would crash into a mountain or something. LoL
I guess if that's the way chickens vision works
Then I'm sure their brains are wired for that.
I know our brains aren't I have a hard enough time just seeing with regular glasses.LoL

I had a friend who was a rocket scientist (really), and he had lasic surgery to the same effect (one for close and the other for far).

FREE EGG ALERT!!! For all of you that have incubators, Ewe Crazy Farms is having a drawing for 6 Svart Hona hatching eggs!!!
All you have to do is go to their FB page to get into the drawing. I don't have, or know anyone, with an incubator or I would be all over this myself!
They are done hatching for this year and decided instead of eating the eggs they would share with their FB friends.

That's a little too creepy for me. I'm not on FB anyway. That's super nice of them!!!

I think a toad in the bathroom would be cool.

You could set up a little toad house next to the plunger.

Quote: I suggest heritage turkey! My broad breasted should have gone to freezer camp at 5 months old. But I am going to try to keep the broad breasted hen on a diet to mate with my standard bronze tom and hopefully I will get her to sit on some eggs. She is so sweet! To me turkey have so much more personality than chickens do! And they learn hand signals quickly! I can point to any of mine and motion with my fingers for them to come to me and they will, just that one out of 10-15 turkey. They are smart.

I'm all for natural whatever, but putting a toad in the bathroom???  I'd be a bit, shall we say perturbed, if DH put a toad in my bathroom. :tongue

First let me state as I drink my evening cup of joe that no toads were hurt in the writing of this post. LoL
Hoppy is not living in my bathroom though I did like the idea of the toad house by where we keep the plunger.
Hoppy was repatriated to the wild after his ant feast an I'm hoping doing his normal toad things somewhere in my back yard.
Though we had a special bond and shared some special memories I felt it was the best thing for him/her? LoL
I miss you hoppy.
