Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Congrats on BIG small steps. Boy do I feel your pain. ACL ligament snapped in 2001 when the mounting block steps collapsed when I was getting on my horse. I would have rather had a bone break than a ligament. No matter how complicated....

If there is physical therepy involved please please do it... My insurance ran out before I gained full strength.

So far the PT is all stuff I can do at home. My surgeon did give me the choice so if things get rough later the option is still open. For now it's just so much easier to do at home because of the distance. I've got good insurance so that shouldn't be an issue as long as it's dr ordered.

Ouch! a snapped ACL! The recovery time must have been huge (and painful)! I did tear one ligament on the inside of my ankle and right now that is the only thing besides my knee that's giving me any real trouble, but it wasn't that bad so it will get better.

Blink Blink Blink.... waiting for my son to wake up enough to go with me so we can get our coffee.... I am not awake till half of my quad espresso drink is consumed.... thank goodness its only about two miles to the drive through...

We go through a local place... they are not as good as Starbucks but I like to support the Ma and Pa places that are close to comparable.... Besides I dont have to "define" my drink to someone new every day... Gawd its such a simple drink Four shots of espresso in a 16 ounce cup three sweet and lows and fill it up with cold half and half.... No I dont want it heated,,,, NO I dont want it iced... NO I dont want whip cream.... I only want what I asked for...

besides the ma andpa place only charges me for the espresso.... Starbucks charges for the extra half and half.... And depending on who takes my order I get charged for a full on Breve.... which is a six buck Item...

Just espresso is about 2.25

Yep... when I was rolling round saying the F word no... screaming it I was under my horse... She planted her feet and was looking down with a very concerned expresson on her face.... "Mooooommm are you ok?" Gotto love draft horses. I am so heavy no one could lift me I tried to stand using a hitch post but my leg went to the side and I almost passed out.

I wound up dragging myself to My friends mini van so they could take me to the hospital.

When my insurance finally gave the OK for surgery Three months had passed. They took a ligament from across the top of the knee along with its bony roots and fed it through to the inside of my joint Orthiscopically. So I came home with zipper like staples across the top of my knee and a machine that I had to be strapped in to 24/7. It moved my leg constantly.

Ooh kid woke up I gotto go...

But recovery was about a year till I could walk without a cane. But I never really fully recoverd.

OH MY! It sounds like the treatment was way worse than the accident. You have my deepest respect to have done so well with the circumstances. All I can think of is one ginormous OUCH ! ! !

I went to Sam's to buy some groceries and thought I would try some of the members mark brand of coffee... Bad idea! It has no taste and no cafeine I need a ride to the store!
