I slept in today--got up at 6:15 I am baking Alaskan sourdough bread today! A bit later I will make either chocolate chip cookies or a lemon pie--Of course I may be talked into making both....
I hope you made both! You can send one here; my DDs didn't make pastry cream for the eclairs, so dh and I will probably have spiced pumpkin pie later. I'm going to push for whipping up some cream to put on top.
make sure you add the scratch and sniff app to your camera phone !!!!
Yes, scratch and sniff!!!!!
But, but... we all already know what cockerl poo smells like!
:frow
I made all three of them! Bread smells very good! The lemon pie is for after dinner: Chocolate chip cookies were very tasty!
Yummy! Send me those! They're some of my favorites!!!!
@ronott1DARN THAT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!!!! :drool @TeaChick As to ER visits...ah, whatever... :D We have had a goodly number of those... None in the last year though, :ya I always tell the boys that most things can be fixed, just do your best to: 1. Not scramble the brain 2. No eye injury 3. No death Stitches and broken bones are fine, but during office hours is best. :D Getting busted up means you were having fun! At least, that is what we say at our house.
I'm not the most coordinated or balanced person, but somehow I made it to age 36 without a broken bone and the only stitches I've had were...caused by the children, we'll say. We don't have a good hospital around here, so we try to avoid having to go. :D
I have a chicken track on my forehead and several other scars to remind me of those things. I have a semicircular scar on my forehead that I got before I can remember. I fell on one of the old vacuum packed coffee cans before I ca remember. A vertical crease has appeared on my forehead in the later years that crosses it and makes a perfect chicken foot print.
I remember most of my early scars. Skating on the tile in my socks left a scar on my chin that's still there. I think I've gotten most of my scars since I started keeping chickens. Falling out of pens and such.

ah!

even though this is a small town, we have lots of great amenities since we act as the hub for a large number of tiny villages, as well as any and all that are living remotely in the area.

It means that even though the town is only 5K, we have three grocery stores, lots of nice places to eat, a health food store, and a good hospital. Anything scary does get Medivaced (how is that spelled?) to Anchorage, but we do have lots of diagnostics as well as a surgical team.

You guys were chatty this weekend.

Love the baked goods.

We chaperoned our cross country teams state meet. Our girls won state in their division! :weee. First time in school history.

Unfortunately I must go to work today. MORE coffee!
