Sure! I'll call her this weekend!

Melt downs happen. My mom has always been a demanding high maintenance type of person. Having her here earlier this fall was difficult, but she has mellowed some. Mostly from dementia. But not enough to say "please". She still has her habit of saying "Get me" this or that. And assumed she should get it now. Sad really. She has many sleepless nights and it's not safe for her to wander being high risk for falls. Caring for someone who doesn't sleep is difficult when you can't get sleep yourself.

But now she's really bad in a nursing home for now and there's not much I can do to help being 2 hours away.

I know, My father believed that he could take care of my mother as long as she lived until he realized that was a 24/7 job and he could get no sleep. It was tough for him to put her in a nursing home although she did not seem to know where she was.

Coffee was good! so is my 3rd cup! lol

Since families are no longer the large multigenerational households it makes it very hard to care for very ill loved ones.

Good morning!
Just got home from work!

I left early, there is a huge storm coming and I don't like to watch the plastic peel off of the houses. I get all anx-ie. Besides, It's raining cats and dogs and poodles everywhere.
I hate wet feet.
It is suppose to freeze Tuesday. I never understand why they say it will freeze Tuesday night when the actual freezing is Wednesday morning. I am easily confused, and I want to be prepared. So if it is going to freeze Tuesday ... I need to make sure they don't mean Tuesday morning. because... I am not ready.

And the kicker... I came home and it has been hot enough for the air conditioner to kick on,

Florida is like a bipolar relative. You know what to expect, but you don't know when to expect it.

Here red flag fire warnings.... the humidity has dropped down to 5 percent and the winds are kicking up to 45 MPH.... in the valleys...

The temps by the coast are in the low seventies.... They will be up in the eighties in those valleys...

Its Fire season here.....

But he's used to 27 degree weather, right? That's a regular heat wave for him I bet.

Well yeah, but still... Some warmer weather would have been nice. I hope he checked the forecast before he went.
