Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Good morning everyone. Sitting here with my coffee waiting on my brooder to warm up. Finally got my second bator stabilized for the second hatch. The first ones did not make it due to the bator temp jumping up and down. So I have a few Chantecler chicks that hatched last night and this morning.

I am so ready for spring! I have seeds started in pots all over my dining room. lol

Morning!!!

Boy, Chickadoodles, wish I could start my seeds this early. Every year I have to keep telling myself "not yet, not yet!" but I usually start them too early and turn the house and grow shed into a jungle anyway.

Hey I just found out we can grow blueberrys and Rasberrys here....  specific ones that dont need alot of frost.

one day... the last one will grow at my house.... Yay/

I think your soil is alkaline so makesure thatyou get your PH around 5.5 to 6.5. Here we use milled pine bark or Oak leaves for mulch even though our PH is usually in that range. Tha Rabbit Eye type grows well in the South all of the way into Florida. I am planting Blueberries and Pomegranates from Ison's Nursery today.

It is about time to plant tomato seed here for big healthy plants at Easter.

It is a little early but I try to start tomatoes a little early trying to get a head start.
I think spring fever is hitting all the gardeners about now! lol

I was hoping to get our Ison's berries planted today but it is raining. So it can wait another day.
Quote: Hagar I did get some berry plants from Ison's a few days ago. Thanks for the info on their nursery, they got them out pretty fast for me.

Yep berries will be container grown only....  The suggestion was to use Azalia potting mix.... as a start. for the blue berries any way.  Goji I have to read up more....

Pomegranates are very doable here though  make a good hedge too.  I hope to espalier them along the fence in the front.

That's a good plan. Use Azalea fertilizer also.

Morning all:frow.

Ahhhhhh. Coffee,coffee, coffee!

I am enjoying a day off. I wish the weather were warmer so I could work in the garden, instead I am reduced to housecleaning chores .

I will insist that my hubby take me out to lunch, however.:celebrate
