Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I am not a huge fan of coffee ice cream HOWEVER In the heat of the summer I do like vanilla Ice Cream in my coffee

yippiechickie.gif

Or I just forgo all the Ice all together and just have HOT BLACK COFFEE in the pool!

I cannot wait for summer!

I don't put ice in it. Don't like the dilution. I just make really strong espresso breve and refrigerate it until it's cool. I drink it cold even in winter. I'm just odd lol

Not odd Temperature affects the taste for me. I like the taste of it as it warms in my mouth.

I am a dairy fanatic! I love half and half, whipped cream etc. It's amazing I'm not 300 lbs. My batistas at my usual espresso stops always ask me how I can drink such fattening espressos every day. I don't know how but I sure am glad I can! Don't get me wrong I'm not skinny but I seem to metabolize dairy better than sugary sweets lol

Good luck Puddin have a great day!
Glad your hen turned out to be a hen after all. lol

@Puddin Fluff , X2

Thanks!
Actually the hen turned out to be a cockerel. I had just not paid attention as they feathered out. And it was X3 birds.

Needless to say I was very disappointed to hear them crow.

Good Morning all!
It is cold here this morning too 37* Yuckie. But the coffee is hot so I will just keep it flowing

My changing Flock,

Last year we got some TSC specials for our granddaughter. We got 5 pullets one turned out to be a Roo, and 2 red pullets. The roo escaped the freezer by the dirt on his beak when my son asked if he could have him for his MIL as her flock needed a roo and he was quite a good looking guy. one got caught in the dogs tie out and was buried. the 3 white ones we have left are very spastic! they are not friendly and rile up my ladies
barnie.gif
so now my ladies dont want me around the coop just too much chicken drama
smack.gif
. they would all find a free ticket to freezer camp, except My Sweet Grand Baby loves her ladies even though they dont return the feeling. Out of the reds one of them has a split wing short leg and crossbeak. she is still going strong after a year with no clipping or trying to fix her beak.

My Ladies are 5 this year. wooow how time has flown. I have decided to get specific with the breeds I want to play with in my yard. So This spring I will begin to be selective on my ladies
woot.gif
and I am going to get some Silkies, Cochin (bantam at first), a few more Brahmas, and some wyandotte Silver laced. I will be going to the supplier I got my first Ladies from. They have been Great Layers and very healthy out of the 7 I started with I still have 5. 2 New Hampshires, 2 New Jerseys, and 1 Brahma ( I lost my other Brahma Hillary to the heat and stupidity last year. That was no fault of the supplier) While I wait for the new ones to be ready for me I will work on the brooder we got last year.

I plan to add a second story to this coop and make it so there is at least a full 6' x 3' x3' run under the coop with a full bottom making an upstairs coop and downstairs run so the new bantam ladies will have a nice place separate from the Crazy Chicks! This will make a great Texas coop i think because it will have a secure place from elements plenty of shade and a closed off or vented area for summer sleeping. The Red part has been closed off with hardware cloth already so I can put a heat lamp and supplies in the roof line and keep it critter proof

but since in the last 5 years our family size has gone down (children moving out) we do not seem to be eating as many eggs and even dehydrating them I still have too many so now I can look at breeds that are docile fun and not really rated for eggs. I am also looking at they Wyandottes as possible dual purpose birds.

I find I am looking forward to Change this spring instead of trying so very hard to fight it.

I also think I will fashion a coop for GD's ladies out of the old Goat house. That way she can keep her Crazy and I can have my Ladies back!

Hope everyone stays warm and full of coffee today!

Coop looks good.
That's a lot going on! Chickens will keep ya busy! lol

I think its just common with the orange/reddish colored chickens sometimes. Their feathers at first look like they're gonna be peppered or white or something, and then in full feather they're a different color.

Probably. =)
Is that you w/ blue hair in your avi?

coffee is good, going to buy more in an hour or so, clear skies today, looks warm from my recliner.

That's what I need, coffee and a warm recliner.
JK. I'm glad you've got clear skies! =)

our church is having the monthly food, clothing and haircut give away on Saturday at 7:00 am, temperature is forecast to be 12F, I will look like doughboy handing out the carrots in the parking lot.

I bet you're a cute doughboy!!!!!!

I need one like this!!!! My life could be complete and would be a lot less complicated if I live like that. =)

Yeah! lol

THIS IS MY LIFE.

You're livin' the dream!!! lol

I ordered one! I ordered one!

They have different styles and colors.

My last day at work is March 18th. I hope it makes it in by then. I am going to wear it because everyone is asking what I am going to do after I quit!

Yeah, purple is a good color for me too. lol Or teal, or any other color.

Congrats on your last day!!! =)

Morning everyone!

Never thought of it that way, but you're right!!!

Anyone else drink their espresso out of a jar? Or am just an oddball?

You're an oddball. =)
I drink iced tea out of jars, and soda, and water, and juice.
Espresso, I drink out of a coffee cup.

I would do that with Ice coffee but if that is hot coffee with no handle I would think twice
unless my hands were frozen then that might be nice.

Yeah, this.

Embrace your 'oddballness'. It's not a bad thing.

And this.

I LOVE coffee, but can not stand iced coffee or coffee ice cream?
idunno.gif

Yesterday I inadvertently broke the handle off a coffee cup. I thought, "Well one last use for this cup." It nearly burned my hand.

I like hot coffee. I like iced coffee if it's really hot. I do not like coffee ice cream. Ice cream is for chocolate, of, in, on, and with.

Oh! I hope you're alright!
I broke a coffee cup (one of my favorites, well, as long as they don't look like any others I own, they're my favorite, anyway) I broke it this morning. It was already cracked pretty bad and getting worse, so it was just as well.
