Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

To all: you're going to be reading that until I get to wear them again (another couple weeks to a month, who knows?)
If you carry the flip flops in your purse you could wear them in the grocery store.

Think Ostrich
I like that flip flop idea!!! DH thinks that fashion is important. Me? I'm the my favorite top + my favorite bottoms = my favorite outfit sort of girl.

Oh, yeah. I'll have to talk DH into hatching some ostrich eggs.

Had to laugh.... When my sister was about to give birth she wanted me there because I had "experience." Really? I ran a stud farm. I told her I'd be there for her, but don't expect any help unless you want me to throw down some straw and give you a bran mash afterwards. Unless she was a mare I would be clueless....

Her kid, btw, came out just fine.

usually the weather guessers keep the first five days bad and tease us with a moving nice "someday" forecast (always the last five)

Yeah, that's how it is here too. Dangling that carrot doesn't fool me anymore. I know when the good days are: the days when it's not so cold I have to bundle up so much I can't move and when it's not too hot yet that you can't move for heat stroke, the days in between are just right.

Whew it was close.... drive through guy got it wrong but not by much.... Like how difficult is it ... four shots espresso .... sixteen ounce cup.... three sweet and lows... and fill it up to the top with half and half.

My drive through charges me 2.25 pretty much cant do it myself for that... He forgot the sweet and low... But I saved the day had some at home.

deb

Whew! I'm glad you got it taken care of!!!

Just what every laboring mom desires! Clean hay and warm mash!

Ooooohhhh. Yeah, I missed that. Like I said, I worked at a grocery store in Bay Hill, so I've seen some grocery shopping attire that would make most ppl

Yeah, I did labor four times, clean hay and warm mash is what I put on the questionairre to tell the hospital what to do better next time. They never did it, so I quit having babies.

I work with what I've got....which is a scant more than "And, Miss Scarlett, I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' babies."

Once they got the epidural into her the rest was just killing time, so I kept her humored. She was laughing so hard that her auto-monitoring sensors had the nurses visiting often to see what was going on as things kept spiking and in hysterics as the contractions were about 30 seconds apart and didn't realize the baby was just about there.

Laughter is the best medicine.....

With my first child I would probably eaten the hay, mash or anything else you offered me! :lau

My water broke as I sat down in my BFFs car on our way to lunch. The baby was breach so I had a Cesarean and they would not feed me anything but clear liquids until they were sure it would stay down. I WAS STARVING!!!! By the time I got solid food, I would have eaten just about anything, hay included!

she didn't ask for some clean hay, now did she?

Ummm, Alaskan? Peep said straw, not hay. It's the horsey equivalent of "towels" as in, "get some water boiling and get me all the clean towels you've got." On the marestare forum, "straw going down!" being posted means the stare is about to be over, because birth is imminent. BB2K and I were "staring" at a mare last night, and she made that announcement when I was out of the room to let me know that if I didn't get back in there soon, I was going to miss it.

Peep, your comment had me laughing. Just the image of you throwing down a deep layer of straw in the delivery room . . . . The hospital staff would have a cow!
