Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

My coffee is exceptionally good this morning.

It is still raining down here, but the wrens are in full voice. I suppose they will start building nests everywhere. which would be fine...except for the inconvenient places the build them.

"Excuse me sir, but I will be using that boot today."

LOL.... the last BarbeQue we had I went out with a bunch of steaks to find it filled with WREN Nest.... Cute little buggers. I cooked the steaks on the stove and spent the rest of the spring watching Wren behavior.... The barbeque is right out the back door and we can see it every day... I had no idea how pretty their song was....

Okay, We are an s-corporation and have to file even if we don't make enough to cover the cost of the accountant we pay to do it.

Someone told my husband when he got out of college that he should incorporated his little backyard nursery. It has been a pain in our backside ever since.

so many file fees, sometimes we have spent more on being incorporated than we actually made in an year.
And then we are told it will cost too much to change it now.
I figure, eventually, we will die and it will end.

Money really does not grow on trees, or apparently- any other plant.

What the corporation does for you is protect you from loosing everything if the business goes down. When we lived in New Mexico dad started a business ... a machine shop. they had back orders for two years on a new product that was a hit in agriculture. Those big wheels attached to the sprinkler system to transport the irrigation through fields that need sprinkler type irrigation. All dad had to do is see something like that in order to make one of his own...

It was a business Partnership. His friend put up the money and Dad put up his expertise and talent... They were almost through their first year and were expected to break even the next.... The book keeper didn't pay the payroll taxes OR the business taxes. When he took off with the money he left two journals completely empty. The IRS took everything from both dad and his partner... We lost our houses too and most of our belongings worth anything. It was horrible... The IRS in collection mode is relentless....

The coffe is great this morning. The rain has stopped and the birds are singing. The Red Buds and the Dogwoods are blooming We have 12 new Salmon Faverolles. They are happy and healthy beautiful chicks. We are looking forward to watching the grow up. They have a reputation of being gentle birds so they should be fun to raise.

I love them, SUPER sweet chicks, SUPER nice breed!

Good pet chickens too.

Yep... we would still be in Roswell dad was a very good machinest and designer I Learned later on if he and his partner had formed a corporation onlly the business and its assets would be attached. I think back then they didnt have the kinds of corporation offerings they have now.

SO if you are a sole owner or partner Get thy behind to file for a LLC I believe. then you take your wages just as everyone else does... your whole personal property is not involved.

I am sure i am saying this is very simplistic...

Childhood memories - my bedroom was located directly above the kitchen. I woke to the smell of bacon and coffee every morning.
