Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Her name was Snoodle.  I lost her last summer.  She's been my favorite chicken so far.  She was a BCF I got at TSC when DH first got me chickens.  He went in and asked for 12 RIR pullets, and they sold him the last 11 chicks they had (5 RSL, 5 WL, and 1 "specialty breed") and they all turned out to be pullets.  I still have three of the RSL.
Nitty is a cute name. =)

Teachick, are there LF Cochin frizzles? I love my Cochins, they are so fluffy! And I think the frizzles are cuter than cute! But I never see LF, only bantams. So I didnt know if they existed or couldn't be breed.

Blessed Sunday everyone!

You know that everyone's favorite drug for treating ADHD, Ritalin, is a stimulant, right? Seems crazy - give a stimulant to someone who is hyper, and it calms them down . . . . Well, caffeine often works the same way. I sometimes wonder if a lot of caffeine addicts might wind up diagnosed with ADHD if deprived of their favorite addiction.

That works only with children... unfortunately... the stimulant thing...

Verylong story here

When my son was about three or four My dad used to tease him by calling him a little Frog. Dean Hated that... MY NAME IS DEAN... he would say... But dad would persist on other days getting a giggle out of how adamant Dean was.

So MY grandpa's name Was Fred...

Now the two grandmas... MOM and MY grandma both were short and had curly hair... And before he went to school they would alternate days to keep him while I worked.

ONe day I was driving him to one of the grandmas houses... he asked me where we were going... I said to Grandmas house... Then I thought of describing the one... but totally lost how to do it because they were virtually physically identical to a four year old....

Then He settled it with an exasperated question. 'Is it Grandma Frog or Grandma Fred !?|"

FRom that day on its been the Freds or the Frogs... or Grandma and Grandpa Frog and Grandma and Grandpa Fred.

we still call em that.

I agree w/ Ron. I have had exactly one chick that looked like that at that age and turned out to be a pullet. In fact, we called her a cockerel until she started showing pullet coloring.

Yes, the headaches from not having coffee can be harsh. Coffee is a stimulant because of the caffeine in it. I am on my second mug right now. Because I drink so much coffee. I can drink it anytime of the day, evening, middle of the night with no issues with sleeping. In fact I think because the tree is so much in my system it actually makes me sleepy sometimes. Anyone else have this issue or is it just this wierdo?

No, it's not weird. I have headaches when I'm trying to cut back on coffee.

My parents did not give me coffee. Is that why I am only 5' 7" ?

Wait, what?
I'm only 5'2" and my parents didn't give my coffee. They told me it was b/c it stunts your growth.
That's just wrong!!!!! depriving your child of coffee and lying to them about why!

I have no idea. The frizzle gene is dominant (don't breed a frizzle to a frizzle, or you'll get a frazzle), but since the frizzle gene is dominant you can work it into any breed, no matter the size.

Blessed Sunday everyone!

I'm down to 3 dozen!!!!!
Actually, we have 41 chickens on property, but 5 of them belong to my DD, 1 of them belongs to my DS and half of the rest of them belong to him too (b/c they're half mine and half his, every last one of them).
So that's 41-5=36-1=35/2=17.5, so we'll say 17, which is close enough to 15, which is almost down to 12, so I'll call it an even dozen.

Chickisoup: I just shot beer from my nose (I hate coffee)

Why are you on the "coffee lovers" thread if you hate coffee???
I mean, we've got you, so we'll keep you, but...why would you get on a "coffee lovers" thread if you hate coffee?
I'm just curious.

Just don't count the chickens! If you don't know, you can't tell

I can't not count them. I don't know why, but as soon as I realize that I don't know how many I have, I count them, I can't help it.
