Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I enjoy the breed guessing....

I shall now give NEW guesses (since I have actually seen the chicks)

Barred rock... I still want the brown one to be a rhode island red... But it does look to be the wrong color for that... Uhm.... Uh.... Anyway, and I think the white one is more likely to bea delaware verses a wheaten... So I pick that! :ya

It would help to know what hatchery they are from. Usually, only certain breeds go into the pullet only pen. Others have to be special ordered.

@Peep_Show Thanks :)

LOL.... right now its 95 so far. Three or four pm is when the temperature peaks.

I think youd like it in San Diego. I freeze close to the coast thats where all the temperatures are taken for "public viewing" Average temps along the coast are about ten to fifteen degrees cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

But here inland about twelve miles shows the true temperature of the San Diego area... And Pssssst dont tell any one those temps hold pretty much all the way up to my house... So 80-90 summer temps with peaks of a few days in the 100's then cooling off comfortably for night time. So for the most part all that is needed is a fan and a source of fresh air. At home I keep the windows open till about nine Oclock then shut them down for the peak heat of the day. to retain most of the cool. then they get opened up again around sunset...

Are you for Real Dear Chicki? My DH keeps the AC at 73 deg and I spend the day in sweat suits or goose bumps!
we've been in the low 70's for a week and it's been nice during the daytime as long as the sun isn't beating down and there's a good breeze. It is funny to watch the "snow birds" up from Florida for the summer running around Walmart in their sweats and jackets next to us "locals" in our t-shirts and summer jeans. Lots of eye rolling silent giggles back and forth when they go by

Really funny on Memorial Day weekends. Lots of locals have their big rummage sales that weekend because it's a great way to get rid of all your old coats and sweaters to the campers and weekenders that show up in shorts expecting us to be as warm as where they came from when it's not too odd for us to be in the 50's during the day and frost at night that weekend.
