Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

@TeaChick

Thank you. He was an amazing man a bit of a reprobate but everyone liked him loved him. Matter of fact we had to have two services for him one here in town for all his friends and one in Redlands for family... He was Buried in Hermosa Cemetery where one of Wyatt Erps brothers is buried.

I have only been to the cemetery about three times... but each time I am struck by the fact that the trees are always full of ravens with their raucous calls and Aerobatic displays... It just appropriate I feel.

These chicks are d'anvers, a tiny bantam that lays pretty well, with fluffy cheeks. They come on lots of colors.

Supposedly these chipmunk chicks are supposed to turn into
Black breasted red (looks just like a brown leghorn) and buff columbians.

:D

No one really loves my dad; it's more like pity. He's still alive, so there is hope. My mom's father was more of a dad to me than my own father was. In fact, I need to call and wish him a Happy Father's Day.
Wyatt Earp's brother's cemetery, sounds like he's in good company. =)
Yeah, ravens in a cemetery is definitely fitting.

It had its etherial feel to it when I was there... I get these moments from land... and places especially very old ones...

I know what you mean. =)

Did you hatch them or order them?

Deep under those trees I could see water seeping out in a stream not more than six inches wide... I went further and had to duck under the trees and was forced to stop. There in front of me was a water trough fed by water coming up out of a pipe... hand made out of concrete about big enough for four or five cows to drink... and at the foot of that trough was a Maiden hair fern growing...

I was stunned even then the earth here was becoming more and more parched... Yet here there was a micro climate perfect for something so delicate as a maiden hair fern. We turned and rode back....

Now I am pretty dang good at finding trails and orienting myself... but I never found it again...

Wow Perchie, I was able to visualize the entire ride

It must have been wonderful to be able to ride in that country. To just pick a direction and go. That freedom rarely existed, that opportunity to explore, to discover, in Michigan where I lived when I owned my horse.
Maybe that "special place" wasn't meant to be found again or it wouldn't be as special any

Chicken Ladies" Sorry to hear about your mom I lost mine in March. :hit Still trying to figure that out. Enjoy your time with your dad it is precious! Handsome boy you have! My youngest is 16 I have a facebook for the same reasons you do but I rarely use it the Children hooked me up and it is amazing how many people I used to know are on there. The Squirrel? My mom had her pet cat put in the freezer by the catsitter so she could bury her when they got home from vacation. MIL has her puppy in the freezer for when they move into their newly remodeled home so it will always be with her. :idunno Honey could you get me the lasagna it is in the freezer next to Sylvia. :idunno It just goes to show you humans do not all do well with loss! When mom passed I had just a pinch of her ashes taken out by the funeral home and they sent them to a glass blower who made them into a bead and I wear her as a necklace now in a beautiful glass ornament. Wow must be get it off your chest weekend. Thanks for letting me share.
Sorry about your mom too. That is a cool idea for the ashes. I have a brass heart with some of moms ashes in it. It is still in the box (not quite ready to have it out. My plan is to put them in dads coffin some day... Anyway, thank you for listening.. I gotta go running late today...
