Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Wow! I loved all pf the stories!

These chicks are d'anvers, a tiny bantam that lays pretty well, with fluffy cheeks. They come on lots of colors.

Supposedly these chipmunk chicks are supposed to turn into
Black breasted red (looks just like a brown leghorn) and buff columbians.

Teachick,
Thank you. I have had the pleasure of helping both of my parents these last 5 years, I have also been the only kid that hung around. I love it and I love them. I miss mom, it was hard at times, I am very glad I got to have the time with them.

I'm sorry about your broody (and unhelpful neighbor). I wish I could send you eggs, but my girls aren't laying. They said it's too hot. I told them they're heat tolerant. They said that means we live through the heat, not necessarily that we lay through the heat. I told them a. it's a good thing I have a back log of eggs and b. you can be replaced! They said something about not having enough coops. That's okay, I said, we're building coops in the next month or two and then look out. They said they'd be back to laying by then. I told them they better lay through the winter or they're going to be stew. They didn't have much to say after that.
Anyway, the eggs I have are too old to set now, so I'm sorry I can't share! =( But I would if I could!!! =)

PS: I hope you enjoy(ed) your road trip! =)

Agreed! =D
Awww, thank you for wanting to help anyway

Boy, sounds like your ladies are pretty spoiled if they can get away with giving that much chicken lip!!!

I hope your broody stays with the program and gets the job done.

Deb - that long, really???? I have GOT to get some eggs under her somehow!!!

Never made the roadtrip. We got hit by a storm that knocked out our power for several hours. Fortunately there was a power truck on it's way north (where the really bad stuff hit) and it fixed the power outage in our area on the way through. Lots of other folks are still out of power and probably will be till morning because another larger line of storms swept across the state a while ago and hit several bigger towns hard and they always send the trucks to them first (all we got this time was a lot of rain). Guess they figure us country folk can handle it better than city folks, and they're right

These are a few of my coffee cups...we started displaying them because they don't fit in the cabinet... I have some that are to small to drink coffee out of

Nice collection of cups. I guess I'm not the only person collecting. I started getting a cup from just about everywhere I've visited. Then the kids and grandkids got laz ummm... errrr.. ahhhh Thoughtful!! and started giving them as gifts. A lot of mine are in boxes because I ran out of cupboard space and display space.
